Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22 Happiness and Peace; facets of the Fruit of Righteousness which is the Fruit of the Spirit

In the context of our study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

We are presently considering verse 11 where Paul is praying for believers to be:

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

or

Having been completely filled up with the production "fruit of righteousness" (dikaiosune) the 'Total Fulfillment of Spiritual Progress' - The which comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.

We are presently examining the phrase "fruit of righteousness" or (dikaiosune) which is produced in the believer through TLJC.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.” and described in more detail.

The second facet of the "fruit of righteousness" which is AKA the "fruit of the spirit" ; is described by the Greek word ( chara,) which is translated joy,

This is inner happiness and contentment in th soul. Joy is the sharing and experiencing of the happiness of God.

God's happiness is a relaxed mental attitude and contentement regarding one's circumstances regardless of how difficult they may be because of confidence in God. Phil 4:11-13;

This is a happiness based on capacity that has been built in the soul by God the Holy Spirit through the believer's PMA of Bible Doctrine.

The arrogant myth promoted by Satan and the kosmos is that people and pleasant circumstances in life provide happiness. Satan's propaganda is that money, success, pleasure, social life, sexual life, public approbation, fame, material things, travel, health, and pleasant circumstances in life can make you happy.

These things are pleasurable for a short time, Heb 11:24-27; but they do not sustain anyone in times of suffering and certainly do not hold up as one passes through shadowed valley of physical death. Psa 23:4;

The rich man described the parable in (Luke 12:16-21) discovered that his money and prosperity which were the source of his happiness were very temporary.

True happiness comes from spiritual wealth, not material wealth; it comes from Bible Doctrine in the soul. Jer 15:16; Psa 119:103; and it's application John 13:17; James 1:25;

God has provided a means for believers to share in His happiness is a permanent factor and, like agape love, the first facet of "the fruit of righteousness" is also a problem-solving device.

Anything that is truly worthwhile is worthwhile in adversity as well as in prosperity, in times of chaos and disaster as well as times of peace and tranquility. Matt 24:35;

Those who are dependent on any person or set of circumstances for happiness, are weak and do not have their happiness based on God the Holy Spirit and the Mind of TLJC.

Believers in TLJC, who have been faithful in the P.M.A. of Bible doctrine and have advanced into spiritual adulthood are not only strong, but have great inner happiness because of their confidence in God which is established by means of Bible Doctrine.

God's happiness is not dependent on environment, associations, or circumstances of prosperity or adversity.

As the ruler of this world, Satan rules and controls his domain through arrogance. Satan's administration of pseudo-happiness to any believer or unbeliever can only exist when that person is involved in the Kosmic system, (primarily Kosmic one) where arrogance destroys any capacity for true happiness.

The presence of arrogance in the soul is a guarantee of unhappiness because arrogance causes one to think more higly of oneself than one should and is therefore functioning from a position of weakness where their unrealistic expectations cannot be achieved. Prov 18:12;

Arrogance includes jealousy, (jealousy and happiness are mutually exclusive), It also includes self pity, a guilt complex, implacability, vindictiveness, hatred, and revenge (motivation and function), all of which exclude true happiness.

The Kosmic system deceives mankind into false ideas about what happiness is.

Pseudo-happiness can be stimulation, fun, entertainment, or something that is enjoyable, but it isn't permanent; it is momentary. It is called pseudo-happiness because, the good time or entertanment itself is the source of the "happiness", consequently pseudo-happiness results in an endless pursuit of good times and entertainment and when faced with boredom or a serious problem, the pseudo happiness that one has enjoyed does not sustain,

Happiness is not sustained by good times. Job 20:5,

Perfect happiness is not only a problem-solving device, but it is a basis for capacity for life. Once one has capacity for happiness in their soul, then it is possible to have happiness in whatever whatever life has to offer.

True happiness is related to functioning inside the PPOG. Heb 12:2;

Some principles regarding happiness:

Happiness cannot be built on the details of life: money, success, pleasure, social life, friends, relatives, health, sex, or status symbols.

Happiness cannot be built on pleasant or improved environment.

Happiness cannot be built on people, romance, marriage, friendship, children, or social activity.

Happiness cannot be built by changing the Devil's world through reform crusades, social engineering, violence, civil disobedience, or revolution.

Happiness cannot be built on someone else's unhappiness.

The perfect happiness of God is based on rejection of human viewpoint and acceptance of divine viewpoint (Psa 1:1).

The perfect happiness of God depends on respect for the Lord and Bible doctrine (Psa 112:1).

The perfect happiness of God can only be attained when the believer seeks God with all his right lobe (Psa 119:2).

The perfect happiness of God depends upon the execution of the PPOG in the believer's life (Psa 128:1).

The perfect happiness of God is related to the daily intake of Bible Doctrine (Prov 8:34).

The perfect happiness of God lives in your doctrinal convictions (Rom 14:22).

The perfect happiness of God is related to metabolization of doctrine, Jer 15:16,

The perfect happiness of God is related to understanding His grace policy, Psa 31:7, I will rejoice and be happy in the provision of Your grace.

Gal 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control; against such things there is no law.

We will now consider third facet of the fruit of Righteousness which is the production of the Spirit which is defined by the Greek word eirene, which is translated peace, tranquility, health, and prosperity.

Eriene is used to describe two types of prosperity:

Inner peace with God and overt prosperity and blessing. This is the type of peace that our Lord promised His disciples in John 14:27

This type of peace or inner tranquility delivers a person from anxiety, fear and worry. John 16:33,

Believers with this kind of peace, will have peace and tranquility in their own soul even if others are not at peace with them. Rom 12:18, 1John 3:21; Rom 14:1;

This peace which is the fruit of God the Holy Spirit refers to the tranquil state of the soul and contentment in believers who are assured of of their salvation, and their relationship with God. Rom 8:6,

The word Eirene also refers to the blessing of God in the form of material prosperity (Luk 19:42, Heb 7:2), and spiritual prosperity which means having maximum capacity for life.

This means that the believer has a zest for life and enjoys every moment of it, whether in adversity or prosperity, Phil 1:21;

Psa 23:5-6, You have prepared for me a table in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup [of blessing] is overflowing. Only prosperity and grace pursue me all the days of my life [escrow blessings for time], and I will remain in the house of the Lord forever [escrow blessings for eternity].

The word eirene or peace refers to a state of tranquility of soul because of one's dependence on and trust in God , (Phil 4:6-7).

The peace of God provides mental stability, which is necessary in the spiritual life. Having mental stability is the ability to think doctrine and have divine viewpoint under pressure. It is the ability to accurately apply metabolized doctrine in time of testing, and it is insulation against all forms of thought testing.

Biblical peace or prosperity is based upon receiving the power and the strength that God has provided. This eliminates the struggle that results from believers trying to please God with their human power, Psa 29:11,

The believer has the imputed righteousness of God 2Cor 5:21; which becomes the basis of true inner peace, which ultimately results in overt prosperity, through the believer's continuous and persistent PMA of Bible doctrine, Psa 85:10, Lovingkindness [grace] and truth [doctrine] have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Again, as we have seen, as always in God's policy of Grace, Capacity from the believer's position preceeds God's work in the believer's Production.

This inner peace and overt prosperity cannot be realized apart from understanding the nature and position of new spiritual species and how to live in God's plan for the new spiritual species (Gal 6:15-16).

This peace has its origin in the knowledge of God and the person of our Lord Jesus Christ who is our peace. Rom 5:1;; Rom 15:33; Eph 2:14-17;

When this principle is understood, the capacity for blessing and prosperity is given to every believer. Rom 2:10, .... but glory and honor and peace [inner peace and overt prosperity] to every man who does good [produces divine good], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Inner peace is a result of the ministry of God the Holy Spirit controlling the soul of the believer and producing His Fruit in the believer. (Gal 5:22, Rom 15:13), and is based upon the thinking of Bible Doctrine, Col 3:15

God's peace is multiplied to believers according to their epignosis of Bible Doctrine. 2Pet 1:2; which is why the Apostle Paul told Timothy, his young protege that it was to be pursued, 2Ti 2:22,

Paul tells the Philippians how to have this peace Phil 4:8-9; which is the production of God the Holy Spirit Gal 5:22; and the production of righteousness Phil 1:11;

2Co 13:11 ; Finally brethren, rejoice [be filled with joy or the happiness of God], be made complete [reach spiritual maturity], be comforted [through the Comforter, God the Holy Spirit], be like minded [thinking divine viewpoint], live in peace [inner peace and overt prosperity]; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
