Grace a facet of the Righteous production of the Holy Spirit Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22

In the context of our study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteouseness."

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

We are examining the phrase "fruit of righteousness" translated from the Greek words (karpon dikaiosune) which is produced in the believer through TLJC under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”and it's characteristics are also described.

We have looked at the first (4) facets of this production of Righteousness which are Integrity Love (Agape) , The Happiness of God (Chara) , Inner Peace and Overt Prosperity (Eirene) and Patience and longsuffering (makrothumia).

We are presently examining the fifth facet of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit is described by the Greek noun "chrestotes", which means kindness, graciousness, generosity, and sensitivity to others.

This is the characteristic of Grace Orientation which is aka PSD #4.

We saw last time in the passage in Eph 2:1-10; that God completely solved mankind's problem in the person and work of TLJC and that provision is freely available to anyone, anywhere and anytime by grace through simple faith alone in TLJC alone.

In the Church age, all precedent for living a grace oriented spiritual life is found in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 1:14-18; where the unglorified humanity of Christ is described as functioning in the prototype spiritual life with full manifestation of grace and truth.

The production of Grace in the believer that is a facet of the righteous production of the Spirit is the result of the believer's humility and gratitude which is demonstrated by the believer's positive volition to the word of God.

Humility with regard to one's self without Christ, and gratitude for Christ and his work for the believer.

The Graciousness that is produced in the believer is a result of their thanksgiving to God which is a response to God as a result of the believer's cognition of the grace they have received from God. This results in the believer letting the grace that they have received change their thinking so they become like TLJC. in their thinking. 2Cor 3:18; Rom 8:29;

This Graciousness is demonstrated in the believer when they are moved to compassion regarding another person's situation as was TLJC in Matt 20:29-34; Mark 1:40-45;

Graciousness is the ability to see people as God sees them. It is the ability to let them live their lives as unto the Lord in the privacy of their own priesthood. It is the capacity to let people make mistakes without judging them.

Grace also enables the believer to Forgive others as God by means of TLJC has forgiven them. Eph 4:32; Col 3:13;

Forgiveness maeans to give up resentment, excuse a guilty party, to release from payment, to forget an offense and never bring it up again.

If someone asks for forgiveness, and in honor the believer forgives them, then integrity and loyalty to Bible Doctrine demands that the believer forget whatever was done against them

It means that the believer never again recalls what the individual has done or penalizes the individual for what they did.

Arrogance has no capacity to forgive. Arrogance reacts with mental attitude sins such as anger, resentment, bitterness, vindictiveness malice and implacability.

Implacability is locked in negative volition.

Grace recognizes that the believer has received forgiveness and will continue to receive forgiveness and because of their cognizance of the forgiveness they have received believers have the capacity in their soul from Bible Doctrine to extend forgiveness to others.

Believers are instructed to Forgive an unlimited number of times. Luke 17:4; Matt 18:21-22;

Graciousness such as this is a quality of the mature believer Because of their persistence in the PMA of Bible Doctrine, the advanced believer is gracious, forgiving, and unassuming. The advanced believer has received grace from TLJC and is aware of it through their perception and metabolization of his thinking under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit. John 7:38;

Immature believers have also received grace, but they are not sufficiently aware of it and as a result they can not exhibit grace toward themselves or others.

As they grow in Christ, through the PMA of Bible Doctrine under the mentorship of God the Holy Sprit they will become more and more aware of it and learn to think graciously rather than arrogantly.

In many cases, In spite of the Grace that is deployed toward believers and even though passages such as Matt 11:28; exist, born again believers often live with a guilt complex trying to work up and maintain their relationship with God and as a result they have no capacity to exhibit grace toward others.

Believers can quote Matt 11:29 and at the same time be weary, uncertain and insecure concerning their relationship with God and a a result they cannot exhibit grace toward others.

It is only when believers have sufficient Bibe Doctrine residing and circulating in their thinking they they have the capacity to rest in God's grace and convey it to others.

As Watchman Nee put it, in his book "Sit Walk Stand" "Our position in Christ is one of sitting, our life in the world is one of walking and our attitude toward Satan is one of standing."

Christianity does not begin with the word "DO", Christianity begins with the word DONE.

Believers are to live their lives in light of the Finished work of TLJC on the Cross. John 19:30;

This is only possible when the believer possesses and grasps the true meaning of having the Grace gift of divine righteousness and perfect standing with God. Col 1:22;

And from that position in Grace exhibits kindness, graciousness, generosity, and sensitivity to others as a facet of the Righteous production of God the Holy Spirit.

Jude 1:24-25;
