Discussion of Human Good as a part of the study of Divine Good Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22

In the context of our study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteouseness."

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

We are examining the phrase "fruit of righteousness" translated from the Greek words (karpon dikaiosune) which is produced in the believer through TLJC under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where it's characteristics are also described.

We have looked at the first (5) facets of this production of Righteousness which are Integrity Love (Agape) , The Happiness of God (Chara) , Inner Peace and Overt Prosperity (Eirene), Patience and longsuffering (makrothumia) and "chrestotes", which means kindness, graciousness, generosity, and sensitivity to others.

We are presently studying the sixth part of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine which is described by the Greek noun "agathosune", which is from the root "agathos" which means which means to be generous, virtuous and to produce divine good. Divine good has inherent or intrinsic value.

We saw that Divine good is an absolute concept related to God. Human good is a relative concept related to mankind.

We have seen that there are (3) categories of good in human history: Human Good, Morality or Establishment Good and Divine Good.

We are presently discussing the decitfulness of human good and why both believer and unbeliever who are functioning in Satan's Kosmic system cannot differentiate it from Divine Good. 2Cor 11:13-15;

Satan's ministers tell people what to do, but not how to do it by means of grace and truth. Matt 23:2-7;

Many times these false ministers themselves do not know what they are doing. Their false gospel and teaching is based on human viewpoint and appeals to human resources and ability rather than the resources provided by God through grace and metabolilzed Bible Doctrine.

They are ministers of righteousness, whose message should never be confused with the doctrine of grace.

Paul spoke of them in Gal 1:6-9;

Satan uses counterfeit systems of doctrine that omit the power and grace of God to promote some subset of truth such as morality or establishment truth such as marriage or the family but at the same time the hearers are blinded from the real truth concerning God's plan of grace for mankind by means of the work and person of TLJC and the PPOG for the believer.

Satan is more interested in mankind producing human good than he is in their production of sin, because he is attempting to establish paradise on the earth by mankind's efforts under his sponsorship before the second coming of TLJC.

The Source of energy for the production of Human Good is the Area of Strength or strong side of the Old Sin Nature.

Human good produces blind arrogance and corrupts the one who produces it. Matt 15:11-14;

All human good in history will be judged because it comes from the same source as sin, the old sin nature Rom 6:6-14. The word translated sin in this passage refers to the OSN which is a source of motivation for the production of the evils of sin and human good.

Believers were crucified with Christ on the cross through retroactive positional truth, Gal 2:20; and all sins were judged there 2Cor 5:21; 1Pet 3:18;
