Human Good and Moral Good vs Divine Good iPhil 1:11 Gal 5:22

In the context of our study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteouseness."

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

We are examining the phrase "fruit of righteousness" translated from the Greek words (karpon dikaiosune) which is produced in the believer through TLJC under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where it's characteristics are also described.

We have looked at the first (5) facets of this production of Righteousness which are Integrity Love (Agape) , The Happiness of God (Chara) , Inner Peace and Overt Prosperity (Eirene), Patience and longsuffering (makrothumia) and "chrestotes", which means kindness, graciousness, generosity, and sensitivity to others.

We are presently studying the sixth part of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine as described by the Greek noun "agathosune", which is from the root "agathos" which means which means to be generous, virtuous and to produce divine good. Divine good has inherent or intrinsic value.

We have seen that Divine good is an absolute concept related to God and that Human good is a relative concept related to mankind. and that there are (3) categories of good in human history: Human Good, Morality or Establishment Good and Divine Good.

We are presently discussing the function of Human Good as an alternative to Divine Good in human history.

We saw last time that Human good and evil is satan's policy and that all human good will eventually be judged by God.

Satan interest is in having creatures operate in thir own power rather than divine power. He wants believers to be operational in Human Good and evil.

The believer can be motivated by guilt to perform works in his own power, and guilt can manipulate the believer into arrogance. Unfortunately, most believers today function under the energy of arrogance, emotionalism, guilt, self condemnation, fear, worry, or revenge motivation, all of which results in the production of human good and evil and must be overcome by the power of Bible doctrine.

Just as grace and doctrine represent the genius of God in relationship to the human race, so human good and evil represents the genius of Satan in relation to the human race.

The soul is the battleground of every believer in the Church-age, in this intensified stage of the angelic conflict.

Divine viewpoint is thinking Bible doctrine, which glorifies and honors God and TLJC results in the production of Divine Good and human viewpoint is thinking human good and evil, which dishonors God and TLJC and honors satan results in the production of human good.

This was the test that was placed before the first man and woman in the perfect environment of the Garden of Eden. Gen 2:9; Gen 2:15-17; as described by the tree of life (Bible Doctrine) John and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. John 6:63;

-

There is a legitimate function of human good that is available to both the believer and unbeliever which is based on humility .

This is known as moral or establishment good where the human good that produced is based on divine establishment and functions on the principle that organizational humility plus enforced humility equals genuine humility.

Genuine humility produces a human good which is called morality that is totally separate from the arrgance of the cosmic system.

Morality is the character, conduct, ethics, motivations, and integrity which result from obedience to the laws of divine establishment which is the basis for survival and freedom of the human race, in time, during the course of human history.

Morality consists of doing a right thing because legitimate authority says to.

All legitimate authority is established by God in various categories. Rom 13:1;

Unbelievers can function in morality and can derive happiness in time on this earth in their mortal bodies from their work and their marriage . Eccles 9:9; but their morality does not change their eternal destiny which is the lake fo fire. Rev 20:15;

Unbelievers who obey the laws of divine establishment can be happier on this earth in time than believers who fail to execute the spiritual life inside the PPOG for their life.

Morality is is necessary for spiritual life but it is not the spiritual life.

(A moral person may not be spiritual, but a spiritual person is always moral)

Believers who believe that morality is spirituality and is the Christian way of life do not understand what true spirituality is and therefore fail to execute the plan of God for their lives.

What pleases God is not morality which is a human convention made necessary because of man's fallen nature, but rather righteousness which is orientation and adjustment to the absolute standards of God. 2Cor 5:21; 1Cor 1:30;

One of the major heresies that exists in the church today is the teaching that salvation and eternal life are contingent upon one leading a moral life.

When morality takes precedence over spirituality self righteous legalism and human good and evil which we have seen is the policy of satan is the result. This is why TLJC called the moral self righteous Pharasees who rejected him the sons of satan. John 8:44;

If believers would only realize that their most serious problem is coming under the influence of human good and evil instead of the influence of Bible Doctrine, they would be delivered once and for all from the sin issue by their application of Bible Doctrine.

The believer's problem is not sin because sin has been dealt with at the cross by the Lord Jesus Christ; the believer's problem in this life is human good and evil.

Human good and evil is the policy and program of Satan and his kingdom that motivates the believer to develop a false sense of morality. It is legalism, self-righteousness, emotionalism, and religion.

Satan is interested in having creatures operate in their own power rather than divine power regardless of the sin and evil that it produces.

Believers can be motivated by guilt to perform works in their own power, and guilt can manipulate the believer into arrogance. Unfortunately, most believers today function under the energy of arrogance, emotionalism, guilt, self condemnation, fear, worry, anxiety or revenge motivation, all of which results motivation to produce the evil of sin or human good which must be overcome by the power of Bible doctrine.

Morality is a virtue that is required for fallen mankind to coexist with each other for the purpose of maintaining order. However, that which is moral in one culture may be immoral in another. All ideologies and cultures formulate moral codes. Rom 2:14;

Today what is called multiculturalism is an effort to find common ground so that all cultures can coexist without conflict.

The introduction of absolutes into the definition of what is moral causes friction to occur between competing cultures. To make sure that no one of any ideology or culture is ever offended we have the advent of political correctness which is the incipient form of a totalitarian legal and social system that requires people to tolerate the moral codes of others but to never suggest that theirs is superior.

The laws of divine establishment define the superior absolutes of morality and when adhered to, provide the freedom to fulfill the divine plan as ordained in the divine decrees under many types of government.

Anarchy exists when those under authority ignore these laws and Tyranny exists when those in authority ignores these laws.

Anarchy is freedom without Authority and tyranny is authority without freedom.

Tyranny results when the people permit illegitimate authority to be asserted because they have disregarded legitimate authority and anarchy results when there is disregard for legitimate authority.

Legitimate authority is defined by God through the Laws of Divine establishment.

Tyranny often occurs when believers align themselves with systems of evil in order to create laws that they believe will improve the morality of society.

When they do this they forget that more laws and making something illegal does not solve the problem. Rom 8:3;

People have to be changed from the "inside out" through their own free volition and the PMA of Bible Doctrine not from the "outside in" through legalism and tyranny.
