Divine Establishment as part of Human Good Phil 1:11 Eph 5:22

of our study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;
We are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

Prayer is a right, privilege and responsibility of believer's in TLJC, the Royal Family of God.

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteouseness." which is the result of the believer's PMA of Bible Doctrine which is the mind of TLJC.

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up ( perfect tense passive voice )with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

We are examining the phrase "fruit of righteousness" translated from the Greek words (karpon dikaiosune) which is produced in the believer through TLJC under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where it's characteristics are also described.

We have looked at the first (5) facets of this production of Righteousness which are Integrity Love (Agape) , The Happiness of God (Chara) , Inner Peace and Overt Prosperity (Eirene), Patience and longsuffering (makrothumia) and kindness, graciousness, generosity, and sensitivity to others (chrestotes).

We are presently studying the sixth characteristic of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine as described by the Greek noun "agathosune", which is from the root "agathos" which means which means to be generous, virtuous and to produce divine good. Divine good has inherent or intrinsic value.

We have seen that Divine good is an absolute concept related to God and his perfection and that Human good is a relative concept related to mankind and imperfection. and that there are (3) categories of good in human history: Human Good, Morality or Establishment Good and Divine Good.

We are presently discussing Moralality or Establishment good as a subset of Human Good and contrasting it with Divine Good in human history.

Last time we started the study of volition as the first law of divine establishment where every person is given free volition and tested regarding their orientation to legitimate authority.

Orientation to legitimate authority which is from God is Humility and orientation to illegitimate authority which is from satan is arrogance.

Parents are commanded to teach children the principles of self control, self discipline, poise and restraint by the use of volition as the means of reaching genuine humility in life.

The sooner the genuine humility eventuates from the enforced humility within the family, the sooner the child grows up. Genuine humility develops a sense of destiny and purpose and is the foundation for good decision making.

When the child leaves the authority structure of the family they revert to the authority of divine institution number one ( their own volition ) and they begin to take responsibility for their own decisions.

Today many children are leaving the home with very little respect for legitimate authority and as a result they will suffer along with those in their periphery under the law of volitional responsibility. Hosea 8:7;

Rejection of authority causes people to degenerate, either morally or immorally. When a majority of children reject the authority of parents and government the society disintegrates and the nation begins to be destroyed from the inside out.

Rejection of authority carries with it the responsibility for that decision, and results in a life of misery, unhappiness, disaster, and no human or spiritual self-esteem.

God has delegated legitmate authority in life in the categories of government, husbands, parents, teachers, coaches, public officers, judges, and management, but this authority is useless apart from human consent.

In our society today free volition is being attacked by satan through progressive ideology which alleges that there are no absolute standards, the tyranny of political correctness and the manufacture of the public lie. If something is asserted forcefully enough for long enough, people believe it and even though it is not true it is accepted as true.

Ultimately everyone will answer to God for the choices they make. Rom 14:12; 1Pet 4:5;

The second law of divine establishment is Marriage which defines the legitimate authority of the husband over the wife, Gen 2:22-24; Eph 5:33; Col 3:18-19;

Marriage is the union of one man and one woman who based on their free volition enter into a corporate relationship in which the husband holds full authority which he is mandated to execute in love and the wife responds by willingly submitting to his leadership.

Since the Husband is in authority he has greater responsibility and often marriages fail because the Husband does not fullfill the mandate to love his wife. Eph 5:25,28;

In the Church, the Christian marriage the husband is a type of Christ and the wife is a type of the church and he mandate for husbands in the church is to love sacrificially just as TLJC did.

When husbands function properly and fulfil their leadership role in love, generally the wife will respond properly.

The husband has legitimate authority over his wife. However, his authority is useless unless his wife, from her own free will, recognizes and accepts it.

Regardless of whether she is motivated by love or not, she must accept his authority if the marriage is to work properly.

Personal love does not accept human authority unless the authority agrees with it and does what it wants. Therefore, without the virtue of integrity love, the wife resents the authority of the husband when she does not agree with him.
