Phil 1:11; Gal 5:22 Divine Good Production

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness." which is the result of the believer's PMA of Bible Doctrine which is the mind of TLJC.

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up ( perfect tense passive voice )with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.” where details of it's characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the sixth characteristic of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine as described by the Greek noun "agathosune", which is from the root "agathos" which means which is translated as "goodness" means to be generous, virtuous and to produce divine good.

Since Divine good is the production of God it has inherent or intrinsic value.

We have seen that Divine good is an absolute concept related to God and his perfection and that Human good is a relative concept related to mankind and imperfection. And that there are (3) categories of good in human history: Human Good, Morality or Establishment Good and Divine Good.

Last time we concluded our discussion of Morality or Establishment good and we started a study specific to Divine Good.

Divine Good is the Good that can only be produced by the believer because of the imputation of Divine Righteousness at salvation 2Cor 5:21; whereby God sets the believer into a position where function in Divine Good is possible when the believer resides inside the PPOG. 1John 5:18;

As always in God's grace policy and plan Position precedes Function; Capacity Precedes Production.

As we have seen, Human good is a relative concept related to mankind, it is temporary, relative and corruptible, because of the sin nature, Matt 23:5.

Divine Good is Christian service or deeds performed by the believer who is filled with Christ by means of the Holy Spirit, directed by the truth of the word of God, and motivated by Bible Doctrine or love for God.

Divine Good consists only of those deeds that are accepted by God and rewarded at the judgment seat of Christ. 1Cor 3:12-14;

Believers, can perform divine good because God has provided the divine resources for the production ... the filling of the Holy Spirit and the PMA of Bible doctrine which is his thinking. 1Cor 2:16; John 15:15;

There are four keys to the believer's production of divine good:

Status quo Spirituality: This means being in the directive will of God inside the PPOG.

Momentum from Bible Doctrine: This means that Bible doctrine is being applied and the believer is advancing.

Promotion: This is the believer's advance from spiritual self esteem, to spiritual autonomy to spiritual maturity as a result of the application of Bible Doctrine.

Invisible Impact: This is the effect of the mature believer through blessing by association as an invisible hero in the Church Age.

It is part of God's plan from eternity past for believers to produce divine good. Eph 1:4;

Eph 2:10; We are His creation [ a new spiritual species ], having been created (κτίζω ktizo ) a spiritual creation in Christ Jesus ( by baptism of the Holy Spirit ), for the purpose of good of intrinsic value production [
γαθός ργον agathos ergon: divine good ], which God has prepared in advance [ the plan of God from eternity past ] that we should walk [ περιπατέω, peripateo: behavior patterns, character traits, and lifestyle ] in the sphere of them (the production of divine good )

In the phrase "good of intrinsic value production, the adjective
γαθός agathos is the word for "good" and refers to divine good which has inherent or intrinsic value. The act of divine good is called "production" and is the noun ργον, ergon which is a dative of purpose which results in the translation: "for the purpose of intrinsic good production."

The Greek poet Homer used the word
γαθός agathos in his writing to describe "productivity, or useful activity as opposed to useless activity"

Divine good is useful activity while human good is useless activity. Rom 8:6;

Divine good is useful because it is empowered by divine omnipotence, not human energy and it has eternal as well as temporal impact.

περιπατέω, peripateo, translated "we should walk," refers to consistency in the PPOG and as a result, divine good production through the development of behavior patterns, character traits, and a lifestyle based on the mandates of the Word of God.

Divine good is an absolute concept and can only be produced by divine power.

Believers are a new spiritual species 2Cor 5:17; Gal 6:15; specifically designed by God to utilize this divine power. Utilization of divine power automatically results in the production of divine good.

All believers possess this power as potential energy, but having this power available does not guarantee that it will be used.

Accessing this power requires positive volition regarding the PPOG for the believer which results in filling of the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine resident in the believer's stream of consciousness.

When this power is used, human energy is not used and human good is not produced

Divine good is motivated by and enabled by God Phil 2:13;

A literal translation of this verse would read "For God is the one operating in you both to want and to operate on behalf of the good"

The enabling power of the Holy Spirit is the cause and the means of the execution of the spiritual life which results in divine good production.

Divine omnipotence is the cause and divine good is the effect.

From these assets the believer is able to produce good of intrinsic value and advance in the spiritual life.

The production of divine good is related to the function perception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine, Tit 2:7. 2Tim 3:16-17; Col 1:10; Each of these passages refers to the use of Bible Doctrine in production.

Cognition and utilization of divine omnipotence in the function of the three spiritual skills. (The filling of God the Holy Spirit, The residence and circulation of Bible Doctrine in the stream of consciousness, and the 10 PSD's), The deployment of the PSD's of spiritual adulthood: personal love for God, unconditional love for mankind, sharing the happiness of God, and occupation with Christ. The advance through the stages of spiritual adulthood: spiritual self-esteem, with it's cognitive self esteem, spiritual autonomy with it's cognitive independence, and spiritual maturity with it's cognitive invincibility and the application of pertinent problem-solving devices to pass all three categories of suffering for blessing: providential preventive suffering, momentum testing , and evidence testing results in the believer producing Divine Good

The production of divine good is based on God's provision of logistical grace, 2Co 9:8.

Development of a grace perspective which includes God emphasis over people emphasis, divine power over human power, and divine good production over human good production.

Capacity from Bible Doctrine prevents the believer from being distracted by prosperity and keeps the blessings of wealth, promotion, success, prosperity, and historical impact from becoming a source of false security.

This was the problem with the Laodicean believers. Rev 3:14-18; Without the capacity doctrine provides to give the prosperity meaning and purpose they drifted away from God's plan. Heb 2:1; and as a result automatically ended up in Satan's plan.
