Phil 1:11; Gal 5:21 The faithfulness of God cont...

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness." which is the result of the believer's PMA of Bible Doctrine which is the mind of TLJC.

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up ( perfect tense passive voice )with the production of righteousness [which is the result of advance from the PMA of Bible Doctrine under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit] which comes by means of Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

This righteousness is produced in the believer by God when the believer is functioning in the spiritual life through the application of Bible Doctrine to experience under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it’s character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it’s source as the “fruit of the Spirit.” where details of it's characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the seventh characteristic of this righteous production of
the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine as described by the Greek noun "pistis", which in this passage refers to the virtue of faithfulness which means to be trustworthy, reliable, and steadfast.

We are presently examining the faithfulness of God because God's faithfulness to the believer is the basis for the production of faithfulness by God the Holy Spirit in the believer .... the believer's faithfulness is established in the faithfulness of God.

Believers cannot be faithful apart from understanding and living in God's grace provision.

We are presently examining the categories of God's faithfulness which ultimately becomes the basis of the believer's faithfulness through their PMA of Bible Doctrine.

When the prophet Balaam tried to curse Israel for Balak the king of Moab, he could not, because of God's faithfulness to Israel which is irrevocable. Numbers 23:16-25; NET Just as it is for believers today. Rom 11:29;

When believers suffer according to the will of God they are to trust in his faithfulness in the adversity. Phil 1:29; 1Pe 4:19 ;

God is faithful in disciplining His people just as he is faithful in prospering his people. He is faithful in what He withholds just as He is in what He gives. He is faithful in sending situations of adversity as well as prosperity.

Believers are instructed to recognize God's faithfulness in times of adversity as well as times of prosperity. Psa 119:75;

This is why the believer is mandated to give thanks in all situations of life. 1Thes 5:18; Eph 5:18;

When believers understand God's faithfulness in adversity they are able to receive the benefit that God desires for them to receive from passing through the adversity 1Pet 5:6;

A more accurate translation of this passage which takes into account the passive voice of the original language is " Allow yourself to be humbled under the mighty hand of God and he will exalt you in the proper time"

1Pet 5:7; goes on to explain how God empowers the believer to be able to do this. (NET note 12)

But believer's can only do this if they understand through their PMA of Bible Doctrine God's faithfulness toward them and his objectives for them to receive capacity to receive his highest and best by means of the the adversity. Heb 12:5-11; Rom 8:28; 2Cor 12:10;
