Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22 Divine good production inside the PPOG

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul is praying for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness." which is the result of the believer's PMA of Bible Doctrine which is the mind of TLJC.

Phil 1:11; having been completely filled up (perfect tense passive voice) with the production of righteousness [which is the total fulfillment of spiritual progress] which comes through Jesus Christ, for the glory and praise of God

This righteousness is produced in the believer by God when the believer is functioning in the spiritual life through the application of Bible Doctrine under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of its character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to its source as the “fruit of the Spirit.” where details of its characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the sixth characteristic of the fruit of righteousness which is the production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine as described by the Greek noun "agathosune", which is from the root "agathos" which means which is translated as "goodness" means to be generous, virtuous and to produce divine good.

Since Divine good is the production of God it has inherent or intrinsic value that has eternal impact.

We have seen that Divine good is an absolute concept related to God and his perfection and that Human good is a relative concept related to mankind and imperfection. And that there are (3) categories of good in human history: Human Good, Morality or Establishment Good and Divine Good.

We closed last time with the impact of Divine Good on the Angelic Conflict and the fact that Bible Doctrine is the only way to discern between Divine Good and Human Good which was related to our passage in Phil 1:9;

Without the FHS and Bible Doctrine the natural tendency is for the OSN to dominate the believer's soul because the natural mind does not perceive the things of God. Rom 8:6-9; 1Cor 2:14-15;

Just as all mankind is classified regarding their identity 1Cor 15:22; the production of the believer is classified according to the power behind the execution.

The production of the OSN is Sin and human good = Evil = loss of rewards

The production of the PPOG is Grace and doctrine = Divine good = rewards

The surpassing grace rewards that are given to the believer at their evaluation in eternity is related to the believer's production of divine good. 2Co 5:10.

The production of divine good is related to the believer's honor, 2Ti 2:21.

Divine good has invisible impact in time and is rewarded in eternity.

Abraham's invisible impact is described in Gen 18:23; The people of Sodom had no idea that Abraham had made a case for them to God.

If Lot's entire extended family had been believers the city would have been spared. Gen 18:32; Gen 19:12; and even though the city was not spared the believers in Lot's household were spared. Gen 19:15; Lot's wife was a believer but was turned into a pillar of salt after they had escaped because she disobeyed and looked back.

This is an excellent example of God's faithfulness to believers even when they are living under the control of their OSN and are outside of the directive will of God because of the imputation of Divine Righteousness at salvation. 2Pet 2:7-8;... If your soul is being tormented by the people in your environment it's time to leave...

Divine good is verbal as well as mental, 2Th 2:16-17.

God works through circumstances to cause divine good to come to those who love him Rom 8:28;

Divine Good is produced by believer's living the spiritual life. 1Tim 2:1-4; 1Pet 2:12;

Since human good and human works are excluded from salvation, Eph 2:8-9; it follows that human good and human works are excluded from the PPOG for the believer. Col 2:6;
