Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22 The Faith Rest Drill

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are looking at Paul's prayers for believers so we can better understand what we should pray for.

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul prays for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness."

This righteousness is produced in the believer by God when the believer is functioning in the spiritual life through the application of Bible Doctrine to experience under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where details of it's characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the seventh characteristic of this righteous production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine which is the Greek noun "pistis", and is translated as faithfulness which means to be trustworthy, reliable, and steadfast.

God's faithfulness to the believer is the basis for the production of faithfulness by God the Holy Spirit in the believer.

The believer's faithfulness is established in the faithfulness of God and the believer cannot be faithful apart from understanding and living in confident expectation from God and God's faithfulness and grace provision.

At this point in our study we are discussing the process whereby the Holy Spirit works in the believer through Bible Doctrine to parlay God's Faithfulness toward them into a characteristic of faithfulness as a facet of the Fruit of the Spirit which is Righteousness.

One of the most claimed promises among the thousands contained in Scripture is. Psalm 23:1; In this Psalm, David states the he executed the spiritual life of Israel. Psa 23:3; which resulted in his life being conducted in paths or more accurately wheel tracks of righteousness.

Loyalty to truth under pressure produces the abundant flow of divine grace to the believer. One who is loyal, maintains faith and applies doctrine to their experience.
Psalm 34:9-10; Isa 40:31; in all situations of life. Psa 56:3-4; no matter what the circumstances. Job 13:15;

David's attitude is the same as that expressed by the Apostle Paul in his conclusion of his letter to the believers in Phillipi. Phil 4:11-13; Phil 4:19; The word translated "will supply" in this passage is "plerosei'" which is the future active indicative of "pleroo"

This passage indicates that the one who is focused on fulfilling the assignment that God has delegated to them will not only be supernaturally supplied but also supernaturally protected. 1Pet 1:3-5; which results in great happiness 1Pet 1:6-7; in the midst of the adversity.;

Therefore, believers need never worry about their logistical needs regardless of how dire the situation appears to be. Psalm 84:11; Phil 4:6;

Specifics regarding promises for life and its sustenance include the need for food: Job 23:12; Matt 4:4; Psalm 37:25;

Nothing can cut off the believer's logistical support from the One Who "will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

When believers place their faith in the promise and believe that God's integrity backs up what it says, the believer experiences a tranquility of soul in the face of adversity. Phil 4:7;

Paul's concluding crescendo in Romans 8 provides us with all the assurance we need to eliminate any fears we may have regarding a loss of provision. Rom 8:38-39;

God's unconditional love for the believer finds its greatest evidence in the doctrine of logistical grace support which is illustrated by the comparison made by TLJC of the believer and the sparrow. Matt 10:29-31;

In addition to food, Water is critical for the sustaining of life. It is necessary to grow the food we eat, filter the air we breath, and sustain the body. As a result, It is no wonder that we see so many promises that insure a constant supply of water. Isaiah 44:3;

The Israelites saw the faithfulness of the Lord in their time of thirst. Exodus 17:6; and Numbers 20:11;

That rock was a type of Christ and its provision of water spoke of the unconditional love of God irrevocably established in his integrity and expressed through his grace.

TLJC is the true Rock. 1Cor 10:1-4;

In grace, all received water but none were worthy of it due to their lack of faith.
Exod 17:2-3;

The grace provision of water teaches that all logistics are free of charge and available to any who will receive.

This principle was taught to the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well by TLJC. John 4:9-10; and resulted in many of the Samaritan's becoming believers John 4:29-43;

The grace provisions of God flow in grace from the endless resource of divine integrity. Psa 105:40-41;

Divine provision is freely given to anyone who will simply receive it. Isa 55:1;

The classic passage on God's care and provision of His sheep is found in:
Matt 6:25-33;
