Phil 1:11 Gal 5:22 The Faithfulness of God and the Faith Rest Drill

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are looking at Paul's prayers for believers so we can better understand what we should pray for.

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul prays for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness."

This righteousness is produced in the believer by God when the believer is functioning in the spiritual life through the application of Bible Doctrine to experience under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage the production is viewed with regard to the quality of it’s character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it’s source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where details of it's characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the seventh characteristic of this righteous production of the Spirit in the believer who has the thinking of TLJC through metabolized Bible Doctrine which is the Greek noun "pistis", and is translated as faithfulness which means to be trustworthy, reliable, and steadfast.

God's faithfulness to the believer is the basis for the production of faithfulness by God the Holy Spirit in the believer.

The believer's faithfulness is established in the faithfulness of God and the believer cannot be faithful apart from understanding and living in confident expectation from God and God's faithfulness and grace provision.

At this point in our study we are discussing the process whereby the Holy Spirit works in the believer through Bible Doctrine to parlay God's Faithfulness toward them into a characteristic of faithfulness as a facet of the Fruit of the Spirit which is Righteousness

Last time we looked at the promise of God regarding the believer's logistical provision in Matt 6:33 includes food, water and clothing which includes not only the clothes on our bodies but also the shoes on our feet.

When the Israelites were wandering in the wilderness there was no normal source of shoes or clothing available so for 40 years God miraculously provided both. Deut 29:5;

Those of us who are privileged to live in times of personal and collective prosperity are often unable to understand God's faithfulness in the same way as those who experience God's faithfulness in periods of personal or collective adversity.

When believers find themselves in a period of adversity they must never react in arrogance but orient and adjust to the grace and integrity of God through their recall of God's promises and the essence of God rationale. Psa 9:18; Psa 37:25;Psa 72:12; Psa 102:17; Isa 41:17;

When faced with a restricted flow of logistical resources the believer must keep their eyes on the mission Heb 12:2; Acts 1:8; For this to occur, attention must be diverted away from your temporal difficulty and onto the eternal blessings of grace. 1Pet 5:6-7; Isa 26:3; John 14;27;

The emotional sins of fear worry and anxiety are often a major source of distraction for believers and are often a reaction to external adversity which results in internal stress.

When the believer's soul is free of the emotional sins of fear worry and anxiety they are then able to concentrate on the principles of the Word of God that have been stored in their soul through their perception of Bible Doctrine under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit rather than the problem.

Faith execution applies concepts from the synergy of scripture which form doctrinal rationales which are then applied to experience.

The doctrinal rationales available to the believer include concepts such as the essence of God rationale, the plan of God rationale, the policy of God rationale, the a fortiori rationale.

Faith execution also uses the plaintiff function before the Supreme Court of Heaven when one is a victim of injustice. When believers react to unfairness or injustices in life they become spiritual losers. Rom 12:19-21;

Faith execution demands true humility and the avoidance of self absorption.

Faith execution demands integrity which gives the believer the spiritual strength to make good decisions from a position of strength from the power of God inside the PPOG.

Heb 4:1 warns about missing out on this faith rest life that God gives through the PPOG.

For the believer, God's rest is entering into His happiness which results from the believer living inside the PPOG. The believer's happiness depends entirely upon what thoughts are circulating in the believer's soul.

With this true rest, the believer is capable of facing any problem in life and handling it; capable of making the right choices in resolving problems from the position of strength that God provides inside his plan.

This is the utilization of divine promises in the Bible. The blessing that comes from claiming God's promises and utilizing Bible doctrine circulating in the soul is the basis of entering into this rest.

This is a rest of great tranquility of soul in the midst of the greatest adversities in life. This is also a rest of being able to deal with stress from Bible doctrine resident in your own stream of consciousness.
