Phil 1:11 Gal 5:23 Humility as capacity for Gentleness

We are continuing in the study of the mandate for believer's prayer in the PPOG. . Phil 4:6; 1Thes 5:17;

We are looking at Paul's prayers that are recorded in his letters we can better understand what we should pray for.

At the moment we are considering Paul's prayer for the spiritual growth of believers that was recorded in Phil 1:9-11;

In verse 11 Paul prays for believers to be filled with the "fruit of righteousness."

This righteousness is produced in the believer by God when the believer is functioning in the spiritual life through the application of Bible Doctrine to experience under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit.

We have seen that in the Phil 1:11; passage this production is viewed with regard to the quality of it's character as the “fruit of righteousness,” and in Gal 5:22, the same production is viewed with regard to it's source as the “fruit of the Spirit.”where details of it's characteristics are also described.

We are presently studying the 8th facet of the righteous production of the Holy Spirit in the believer which is generally translated "gentleness" in the NASB and meekness in the KJV and occasionally translated humility is the Greek word "prautes" which means gentleness, humility or meekness.

Last time we saw the gentleness of TLJC and Paul and started a brief study on the connection between humility and gentleness.

We also saw that humility is freedom from the pride and the arrogance from residing in kosmic one of Satan's kosmic system, which is designed by Satan as the god of this world to lure both unbelievers and believers away from the PPOG for their lives which is for all men to be saved and then as believers advance to the highest and best that God has prepared for them from eternity past. Eph 1:3; 1Tim 2:3-4;

Apart from residence in the PPOG, under the enabling power of the Spirit and with momentum from metabolized Bible doctrine everyone is captured by satan in the arrogance of kosmic one. Rev 12:9;b 2Cor 4:4;

Humility includes both enforced humility and genuine humility which results in objectivity and teachability.

Humility is not humiliation, it does not consist in pretending to be less than one really is but rather is demonstrated when one does not pretend to be more than one really is.

Gentleness, meekness, or humility is the right condition of mind that we must have so that the Word of God may be received, James 1:21b.

Because of this, humility is a prerequisite for learning Bible Doctrine under the teaching ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

Humility functions in two categories Genuine and Enforced.

Enforced humility is submission to and obedience to legitimate authority because of one's respect for the authority even if one would prefer not to obey because of subjectivity.

Genuine humility is the virtue of complete grace orientation that comes through perception of Bible doctrine under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit and results in obedience and wanting to obey because of Objectivity.

Enforced Humility automatically leads to Genuine Humility when one functions under the power of God the Holy Spirit and Bible Doctrine inside the PPOG. Phil 2:13;

Genuine and Enforced Humility exist in any organization. Some examples:

For unglorified humanity of TLJC in the organization of the prototype spiritual life and the PPOG for his life, Enforced humility was the Sovereignty of God, and Genuine Humility was his voluntary Obedience to the Plan.

For a Child in the organization of the home, enforced humility is parental authority and genuine humility is positive volition to the parents instruction.

For an Adult, who has freedom to make choices in their own soul, enforced humility is their volition and genuine humility is self discipline.

For a Believer in the organization is the Local Assembly, enforced humility is the authority of the pastor teacher and genuine humility is positive volition to Bible Doctrine.

The believer's daily intake of Bible Doctrine, the Word of God, is their function in humility under the legitimate authority of Bible Doctrine and God the Holy Spirit.

When believers neglect daily perception of Bible Doctrine,they are in a state of rebellion and insubordination which is rejection of Bible Doctrine which is the absolute legitimate authority.

Believers who in humility reside inside the PPOG recognize the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ and submit to that authority through their perception of Bible Doctrine which is his thinking.

There's no greater manifestation of a believer's recognition of the authority of The Lord Jesus Christ than accuracy in their worship of God. John 4:23-24;

True worship in the church age is not ritualism or ascetism or emotionalism. Matt 15:7-9; quoting Isa 29:13;.
