In our study of the doctrine of freedom. John 8:32: Gal 5:1; We have noted that positive volition to any aspect of God's Word of truth creates freedom because God imputes grace through the divine decree to bless positive volition to truth and discipline negative volition to truth. Lam 3:21-23; James 4:6;
We noted that positive volition to divine establishment truth provides for temporal human freedom, positive volition toward the truth of the Gospel creates spiritual freedom and positive volition to the truth of Bible Doctrine creates experiential spiritual freedom and spiritual advance.
We see from this that establishment truth is what establishes freedom within the national entity in the midst of the chaos of the devil's world.
Under the principles of divine establishment every person has free volition so they have the right to be wrong but when their negative volition metastases to the point they meddle with and violate the God given freedom, privacy or property of others their free negative volition becomes criminal.
The internal enemy of freedom in the national entity is criminality and the external enemy of freedom in the national entity is criminal nations operating in power lust.
Free nations lose their internal freedom to criminals as their citizens reject truth and refuse or neglect to defend it because of negative volition to truth. This loss of freedom occurs incrementally until the nation is weakened to the point where predator nations attack and left unanswered defeat the previously free nation in warfare.
We refer to this incremental decline as the five cycles of discipline that we are now studying under doctrine of the five cycles of discipline.
At this point in time God has set aside all of the gentile client nations except the USA. In some cases the former client nations still remain as identifiable nations but they no longer function a client nation to God.
In order to more clearly understand the function of the client nation last time we took up study of the doctrine of the client nation. We noted that a client nation is a national entity that functions under the patronage of God to whom God assigns the responsibility for the formation, preservation, communication, and fulfillment of the canon of Scripture.
We noted that apostasy from negative volition to Bible doctrine always destroys freedom and left unchecked destroys the client nation. Apostasy in a client nation is what leads to the destruction of client nation under the cycles of discipline.
We saw scriptural examples of God indicting the clergy, the politicians, and the people for their negative volition to truth that resulted in the destruction of the nation. In our time we would add the media to this list because the media is the clergy of the secular anti-establishment coalition.
Apostasy is so insidious that political solutions are useless without spiritual solutions. Without the spiritual solution of the invisible heroes of the pivot of mature believers that holds the line in the client nation the political solutions are feckless.
Political solutions are temporal; spiritual solutions are eternal. Political solutions relate to the power of man; spiritual solutions relate to the power of God.
Political solutions are often erroneous and destructive to a nation, while spiritual solutions offer hope to a nation and eternal life to the citizens of the nation.
Political solutions are mortal and subject to corruption; spiritual solutions are eternal and incorruptible.
Political solutions grope in darkness of spiritual death, but spiritual solutions live in the light of eternity and revelation from God's Word.
Political solutions are related to the spiritual death of first birth; spiritual solutions are related to regeneration through faith in Christ, the second birth of mankind into eternal life and an eternal relationship with God.
Spiritual solutions never include violence or coercion. Spiritual solutions result in a free volitional change in the soul through the acquisition of truth from God's Word.
People with negative volition become self-righteous, arrogant legalistic, and reversionistic, Hosea 4:1-7; Hosea 8:7; with the result that they are destroyed because of the lack of truth in their thinking.
Truth is always true and thinking truth always results in God's blessing. 2Cor 13:8; Rejection of truth leads to the destruction of the client nation. The success of the client nation depends positive volition toward the three categories of truth that God's Word reveals.
Jesus Christ always controls history so He knows where positive volition will be in every generation. He makes sure that the current client nation goes to that area of the world with missionary activity. This insures that somewhere on the planet a Gentile nation will continue to function as client nation to God until the exit resurrection.
Ignorance of Bible doctrine destroyed all of the Jewish client nations, and the same ignorance of doctrine destroys the Gentile client nations, Eph 4:18-19; Scar tissue of soul always results in destruction.
The pivot is the remnant of mature believers who have reached maximum adjustment to the justice of God by their positive volition toward Bible doctrine.
If there is a large pivot, the nation is delivered from historical disaster. If there is only a small pivot, then sometimes only the pivot is delivered, while God permits the nation to be destroyed. This is what occurred when Judah was taken captive for 70 years and then restored to the land.
When God's judgment is executed on the nation, the pivot is secure because of their adjustment to the justice of God. If a mature believer dies during historical disaster, it is not a matter of discipline it was simply time to go into witness protection and to be with the Lord. Psa 116:13; Prov 11:8a;
The principle of deliverance depending upon the size of the pivot is derived from the fact that mature believers have historical impact through blessing by association.
While the pivot is secure in the historical disaster, believers with negative volition are destroyed in the disaster. Jer 17:5-8;
The historical disaster separates those adjusted to the justice of God from those who are not. Since those with chronic negative volition are never adjusted to God's justice they are disciplined and destroyed in the historical disaster.
At the present time the USA is God's client nation. In every generation of U.S. history the requirements of evangelism, Bible teaching, missionaries, and pro-Semitism have existed.
The USA as a client nation is reflected in an originalist interpretation of our Constitution that limits the federal government's authority.
We still have all the ingredients to retain client nation status, but we are losing them. We still have a pivot of mature believers, but the quantity of believers with negative volition to truth is growing rapidly.
Evangelism has become a lot of lip service and Bible doctrine is rarely taught properly or accurately. Missionaries have become ineffective because of their negative volition to truth and instead of focusing on teaching truth from God's Word they have been co-opted by liberation theology into becoming political meddlers and crusaders.
Mankind does not possess the power to establish or maintain peace on the earth. There will always be wars and rumors of wars until Jesus Christ returns, Matt 24:6-7;
