In our continuing study of the doctrine of revolution we noted the doctrine of conspiracy because revolution always involves plotting, intrigue and machination against establishment truth and those who enforce it.
All of this started with Satan, the first malcontent, who invented the first lie that became the first public lie that led to the first conspiracy and the first revolution in the angelic realm. Isa 14:13-14;
God sentenced satan and those who followed him in the revolution to the lake of fire. Matt 25:41;
God's response to satan's allegation that God's sentence is unjust was the creation of mankind to be a witness for or against God regarding the allegation that God is unjust.
Those who stand for the categories of truth testify for God. Those who choose to believe the lie and function in the evil of conspiracy and revolution testify for satan.
Satan always opposes God so revolution always opposes Divine Establishment.
In our study at the moment we are comparing the Absalom revolution with the revolution that is presently happening in the USA.
Absalom used political arrogance and flattery to undermine the establishment authority of King David. In our country the liberals in the political class, the media and academia are using political arrogance and flattery to undermine the establishment authority of the Constitution.
This includes the laws of divine establishment, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and Bible Doctrine. This includes the 10 Commandments that are the Decalogue of establishment freedom. All revolutions are anti- authority, anti grace, and anti truth and therefore anti God.
Arrogance appeals to arrogance, so that arrogance is vulnerable to arrogance. Part of blind arrogance is to be deceived by the arrogance of others, especially their hypocrisy of pseudo compassion.
We noted that the reason the liberal politicians, the media and the academy in the west will not acknowledge or condemn islam and its evil is because of the irrationality that is created by their mutual arrogance.
They are deceived by their arrogance so they are insane. This is why liberalism is a mental disorder.
For the same reason the people who were arrogant perceived Absalom's political arrogance to be humility. An arrogant person will only accept an arrogant leader.
Arrogant skills combine with defense mechanisms to create strong delusion in the thinking of the people, so that the people are easily deceived by the hypocrisy and condescension of arrogant leaders.
Arrogance destroys both the ability to lead and the ability to follow legitimate authority. Therefore, the people traded the great leadership of David for the evil leadership of Absalom.
The arrogance skills of the people responded to the arrogance skills of Absalom, causing them to be vulnerable to all kinds of deception so they believed the lie. Their arrogance and emotional sins take them from deception into strong delusion.
This is the process we noted that is described in 2Thes 2:7-12; and 2Tim 4:3-4;
After David restored Absalom by kissing him in 2Sam 14:33; it took another four years for Absalom to reach the general public with his revolutionary conspiracy.
During the first two years, Absalom consolidated the hardcore revolutionists. In the second two years, Absalom seduced the general public with propaganda that became the public lie of strong delusion.
2 Sam 15:7-11; "Now it came to pass after four years that Absalom said to the king, `Please, Sir, permit me to go to Hebron and fulfill my vow which I vowed in the Lord.
v8 For your servant (loyal subject), while living in at Geshur in Syria, made a vow, saying, `If the Lord restores me to Jerusalem, then I will worship the Lord.'"
2Sam 15:9; Then the king replied to him, `Go in peace.' So he got up and went to Hebron.
v10 Meanwhile, Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, `As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet then you will shout, "Absalom is the king in Hebron."'
v11 And two hundred men from Jerusalem who had been invited to accompany Absalom went with him naively; because they knew absolutely nothing about Absalom's plan for revolution."
Because of his previous malfeasance, Absalom was not permitted to travel without King David's permission.
Absalom wanted to go to Hebron to be close to the Egyptian border, so that he could escape in case anything went wrong with the revolution. Hebron was only twenty miles from Jerusalem, close enough to gather his army without notice in order to quickly attack Jerusalem.
Absalom therefore needed to get to Hebron without suspicion and David would have no problem with Absalom going to Hebron because Absalom was born there.
David was crowned king there and lived there for seven and one half years, until he conquered Jerusalem so Absalom also wanted to be crowned as king there.
All criminals are liars. Absalom had not made a vow to the Lord. Honorable people always tend to assume that others are as honorable as they are, but that is not the case so it was not the case with Absalom.
This lie was Absalom's second criminal act. Lying as part of a conspiracy to start a revolution a criminal act. The criminal is a pathological liar. He considers lying to be justified for self-preservation and he justifies it with self-deception.
Lying is the criminal's standard way of dealing with the world. Criminals lie so often that they often forget the lies they have previously told.
David unaware of the conspiracy so he is deceived by Absalom's lies and manipulated into granting permission for Absalom to travel to Hebron where he will start the revolution. David will never see Absalom again because he will die in the battle that defeats the revolutionaries.
While David is deceived by Absalom's deceit, it is Absalom who becomes the ultimate loser because he loses his life. Psa 76:10; 2Cor 13:8;
If an honorable person is deceived by an evil person they do not lose unless they themselves develop a vengeful attitude because of the deceit.
If an honorable person is deceived and has no regrets because they did the right thing they never lose by being deceived. You are only responsible for your own life and your own decisions.
David never complained about his son or the revolution. He was never bitter, he took responsibility for his own decisions. If you have bitterness or hatred or anger or self-pity toward anyone for any reason you become a loser because of your mental attitude sins.
Being the recipient of unjust treatment should not disturb you. If you think of yourself as a victim, you are a loser. Believers in Jesus Christ have the most fantastic assets that ever existed on the face of the earth to deal with any form of unjust treatment and God always eventually renders justice. Rom 12:19-21;
The con artist who seems to gain everything through lies and deceit ends up losing everything worthwhile in life. Those who gain by deception always become losers. This principle applies to the revolutionaries of our day.
The revolutionary criminal becomes one of the greatest losers in human history and for the unbeliever their loss extends into the lake of fire in eternity.
This brings us to some concepts of criminality. The criminal is irresponsible. The criminal has zero authority orientation. The criminal has a basic sense of insecurity and expresses it through violence. This applies to men who are abusive of their wives in marriage.
The criminal has no control over his temper or emotions. He parlays his temper into criminal motivation and activity. Criminality is characterized by boredom. The criminal is involved in the recycling of the arrogance skills.
All criminals are liars. Habitual lying is the criminal's demonstration of disregard for every kind of truth. He lies for self-preservation, he lies to build up himself, and he lies to achieve criminal objectives.
Lying is a part of criminal's manipulation. The criminal lies as part of the con game. Conning is a way of getting your own way, while giving as little as possible in return. Criminals lie so often that they actually believe their lie is the truth.
Absalom organized the hardcore revolutionists who spread out over the land of Israel, to continue the undermining of David's authority and to concentrate the revolutionary forces.
Propaganda is the life-blood of the revolution. The propagandists were slandered both David and the establishment government. Slander and innuendo is their system for gaining power over the people.
Slander and propaganda is a means of establishing pseudo authority in life. Pseudo authority is preceded by pseudo compassion. Pseudo authority must be established, so that the deceived public will follow the orders of the revolutionary leaders. This is the same thing that is happening in our country today.
The shouting that "Absalom is king" was for the purpose of misleading the stupid into thinking David was already dead. The loud noise of the mob drowns out rational thinking.
The revolutionaries must forge the mindless people into a mob who think they are doing good through the violence that they perpetrate.
The content of the shout is a lie and the people must quickly choose between the truth and the lie. The crusader provides a fragment of truth and the criminal distorts the fragment of truth into lies for the advancement of the revolution.
This is how legitimate grievances are manipulated into becoming the basis for revolutionary propaganda.
The two hundred men from Jerusalem were Absalom's aristocratic friends who were simpletons, dupes, and admirers. Absalom simply used them. They were attracted to Absalom's position and personality. They were social butterflies, hungry for attention, and they were proud of their friendship with him.
In their emotion, they were led into a revolutionary trap. The stupid of life never have the Bible doctrine necessary to provide discernment and to avoid the allure of physical attractiveness or mental attractiveness or the attractiveness of idealism.
The principle is found in Jer 17:5; "Cursed is the man who puts his trust in man, who depends on the flesh for his strength, and whose thinking turns away from the Lord."
To be friend of Absalom one had to neglect God's Word. Although often disregarded, cursing by association is a real principle in life. Your friend's evil, arrogance, and bad decisions become your bad decisions and you become cursed by your association with them.
These two hundred men would be comparable to big businessmen today. Big business on the side of socialism destroys itself, destroys the nation's economy and destroys freedom.
