Recently in our study we have been noting the consequences of the rejection of Bible Doctrine aka God's Word of truth as the basis for one's thoughts, decisions and actions. We are now summarizing our study on doctrinal orientation with a review of the importance of doctrine as a conclusion to our study.
Last time we noted that the believer's attitude toward doctrine determines whether they will be blessed or disciplined in time, Prov 8:33-36;
This means that the issue in life is our volition toward God's Word of truth or satan's lie and the one we choose establishes our viewpoint that becomes the basis of our thoughts, decisions and actions.
Doctrine is the basis for the distribution of escrow blessings in time, Isa 53:12. "Therefore, I (God the Father) will distribute the plunder of victory to Him (Jesus Christ) because of the many (royal family); then He will distribute the plunder of victory to the great ones (mature believers) because He willingly poured out His soul life to death..."
Doctrine is also the basis for the distribution of escrow blessings for eternity, Heb 11:9-10; Heb 11:13; James 1:25; James 2:12-13; 1Cor 3:10-15;
To the believer, Bible doctrine must be more true than information that is acquired from empiricism or rationalism. 2Pet 1:12-19;
If there is a conflict between what the Bible reveals and what is seen or rationally determined Bible doctrine is always right. To the mature believer the veracity of Bible doctrine always supercedes everything else.
Freedom and happiness are products of doctrinal orientation. John 8:32; Luke 11:28;
In our study we have noted that the inversion of thought that comes from lack of doctrinal viewpoint destroys a nation, Hos 4:6; Isa 5:13-14;
Bible doctrine is part of the principle of God's logistical grace support, Col 1:25-29; Heb 13:7, 17; Eph 4:11-13. God keeps us alive for the purpose of learning and applying His Word to His glory and our benefit in the scrum of the angelic conflict that exists in the devil's world.
