John 3:16-19; The doctrine of the cosmic system part 69

John 3:16-19; NET “For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

v17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

v18 “The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

v19 “Now this is the basis for judging: that the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil.

We are presently in a study of satan's cosmic system, a system of arrogant demonic thinking that is comprised of lies and deceit from demonic viewpoint that since the fall in the Garden of Eden, separated from God in the darkness of spiritual death has become the viewpoint of the entire human race. 1Cor 2:14; Rev 12:9;

At this point in our study we are examining the various manifestations of the arrogance complex of satan's cosmic system. We have noted that arrogance creates weakness and makes the unbeliever susceptible to demon possession and the believer susceptible demon influence so it is the point of satan attack.

Before we stopped last time we had noted that the intellectualism from rational arrogance is ineffective and harmful because it rejects the truth that God reveals in His Word of truth as the means of establishing the norms and standards for life.

Intellectualism assumes that man can only be understood by the subjective analysis of his suffering, guilt, and anxiety along with the need to use his free volition without regard to the true standards that God's Word of truth reveals regarding what is right or wrong or good or bad.

This makes the intrusion of existentialism into Christianity at the present time equivalent to the first century intrusion Gnosticism.

The insertion of existentialism creates that arrogant assumption that that man's existence preceded his essence. This subjective assumption means that man must fashion himself by himself.

Existentialism mixed with Christianity emphasizes the arrogant and subjective aspects of man as a creature of God. It glorifies man by saying that man is good and honorable by nature and birth and rejects the existence of the old sin nature and the total depravity and inability of man to seek God on his own. Rom 3:11-18;
