2Chron 7:13-14; "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people,

14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Isa 54:17; "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me," declares the Lord.

Gen 50:20; "As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.

1John 4:18; There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

2Tim 1:7; For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and discipline.

Heb 2:14-15; Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, (15) and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.

1Cor 11:19; For there must be divisions among you, so that those among you who are approved may be clearly seen.

Phil 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Eph 6:18; With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

We are presently in a study of the doctrine of evil that is the product of believing the false narrative of the public lie that satan, the god of this world, fabricates and asserts in opposition to truth and righteousness. Eph 6:12; 2Cor 10:5a;

Last time we noted in Rom 6:1-18; that believers must not only be free to express their volition toward the cross and sin in rebound, but they must also be free to express their volition in the same way Christ did on the cross when He rejected, separated from, and divorced Himself from human good evil.

A lot of doctrine is required for the believer's viewpoint to be renovated to this extent. The believer's persistent positive volition to be consistently filled with the Spirit and learn God's Word of truth develops divine viewpoint thinking that creates a frame of reference that is capable of discerning, having the capacity to understand, and then to recognize and reject

Anything that has not yet been judged cannot have an easy split-second solution. A person can believe in Jesus Christ and receive eternal life resolving the sin and death problem in a split second.

Likewise, a believer can confess any known sin to God and be forgiven and purified of all sin resolving the experiential sin problem and simultaneously resolve the sin nature and cosmic death problem by recovering the filling ministry of God the Holy Spirit in a split second.

But there is no split-second solution available that can resolve evil. The resolution of evil requires maximum metabolized doctrine aka epignosis resident in the stream of consciousness that establishes confidence aka hope and is available for recall as wisdom aka virtue love. 1Cor 13:13;

To resist evil we must be persistent and consistent in the post-salvation renovation of our thinking because the more doctrine that believers have in their soul the more capacity believers have to detect and reject evil. Rom 12:3; 2Cor 10:5; 1Thes 5:21-22;

Again, since evil is a continuous challenge to the volition of mankind the function of human good and evil will continue right down to the last judgment at the end of human history. Rev 20:11-15;

The ritual of water baptism pictures the retroactive and current positional truth that is necessary for the rejection of evil. Going under the water pictures the positional death of the OSN and being raised up pictures our new spiritual life. Rom 8:6;

Evil is the greatest distraction to doctrine, because evil interferes with and contradicts Divine viewpoint. All human good is the experiential application of evil. The biggest challenge that believers have is learning how to distinguish between sin and evil and between doing human good evil and Divine good righteousness.

Heb 5:14; "But solid (spiritual) food (sound doctrine) belongs to the mature, the ones who because of academic self-discipline keep having their perceptive faculties well-trained to discern between divine good and evil."

The mature believer rightly divides God's Word of Truth so as to distinguish between sin and evil. 2Tim 2:15; Inaccurate discernment results in evil motivation in the thought pattern of the soul.

The degeneracy of evil starts with a thought. Ezek 28:15;

Matt 6:23; "But if your eye (spiritual perception) is evil, the entire body is full of darkness (cosmic involvement)."Matt 15:19; "For out of the heart (ones thinking) comes evil thoughts."

When the filling of the Holy Spirit plus Bible Doctrine establish residence, function, and momentum inside the believer's soul divine viewpoint thinking is deployed that results in evil thinking being rejected.

Impersonal love from maximum doctrine in the soul eliminates evil. It requires the filling ministry of the spirit combined with a copious amount of doctrine in the thinking to reject evil. 1Cor 2:14-16;
