John 3:19; "This is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil.
Isaiah 5:20-30; (NET) Those who call evil good and good evil are as good as dead, who turn darkness into light and light into darkness, who turn bitter into sweet and sweet into bitter.
21 Those who think they are wise are as good as dead, those who think they possess understanding.
22 Those who are champions at drinking wine are as good as dead, who display great courage when mixing strong drinks.
23 They pronounce the guilty innocent for a payoff, they ignore the just cause of the innocent.
24 Therefore, as flaming fire devours straw, and dry grass disintegrates in the flames, so their root will rot, and their flower will blow away like dust. For they have rejected the law of the Lord who commands armies, they have spurned the commands of the Holy One of Israel.
25 So the Lord is furious with his people; he lifts his hand and strikes them. The mountains shake, and corpses lie like manure in the middle of the streets. Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again.
26 He lifts a signal flag for a distant nation, he whistles for it to come from the far regions of the earth. Look, they come quickly and swiftly.
27 None tire or stumble, they don't stop to nap or sleep. They don't loosen their belts, or unstrap their sandals to rest.
28 Their arrows are sharpened, and all their bows are prepared. The hooves of their horses are hard as flint, and their chariot wheels are like a windstorm.
29 Their roar is like a lion's; they roar like young lions. They growl and seize their prey; they drag it away and no one can come to the rescue.
30 At that time they will growl over their prey, it will sound like sea waves crashing against rocks. One will look out over the land and see the darkness of disaster, clouds will turn the light into darkness.
We are presently in a study of the doctrine of evil that is the product of believing the false narrative of the public lie aka darkness that satan, the god of this world, fabricates and asserts in his war against God's Word of truth aka light. Eph 6:12; 2Cor 10:5;
We have been noting the gates that people must pass through to enter into the evil hatred of satan's cosmic two system.
When we stopped last time we had noted that the downtrends of history are caused when a large percentage of people in a nation choose to live under the influence of evil in satan's cosmic system instead of under Divine establishment principles and Bible Doctrine.
This is why the Christian nations of Europe and client nation USA are presently in decline. Rom 1:28-Rom 2:2;
This means that there are actually no tragedies in history. Historical disaster is related to trends of evil such as is the case of the Fascist Marxist anarchist black lives antifa rioters in our country whose power-lust exceeds their capacity for power.
Isa 47:11; "Evil shall come upon you and you will not understand its origin. Consequently, national disaster shall fall on you, and you will not be able to avert it; sudden destruction shall come to you, and you will not understand why."
Remember that evil is satan's policy as the god and ruler of this world. Satan is the greatest creature genius that God ever created. His use of his genius against God led to his evil because his arrogance led at least 1/3 of the angels into anarchy, rebellion and opposition to God. Isa 14:13-14; Rev 12:3-4;
While evil and sin originate from Satan, the source of man's evil is different. Man's sin comes from his old sin nature, whereas the source of evil is his thinking on the basis of satan's policy. John 8:43-45; 1John 3:12-13;
Sin comes from the old sin nature; evil comes from the thinking. Remember, you are what you think.
Good and evil must continue as part of man's volitional testimony in the angelic conflict. Good and evil must continue to challenge our volition as to whither we will choose satan's lie or God's truth during our lifetime in unglorified bodies on the earth in the devil's world.
Evil will not be completely eliminated until God locks satan and his angelic and human followers up in the lake of fire after their final condemnation in great white throne judgment. Matt 25:41; Rev 20:14;
Evil can only be avoided by thinking doctrinal viewpoint, Rom 12:3; Heb 13:10. In each generation only those who are led by God the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine can properly handle evil. Eph 2:1-3; Gal 5:16; Matt 4:4;
Evil lives in delusion and unreality so it cannot understand life because evil has no capacity for the doctrinal viewpoint that is required for a person to understand what is actually real.
People who are influenced by evil do not know reality nor can they face reality so when disaster strikes they do not recognize that it was their own evil that caused it because of the inversion of thought from their deluded unreality they thought their evil was good and good was evil and they reap the consequences of their evil. Hosea 8:7; Col 3:23-25;
We see from this that evil is blind to the correct interpretation of history and as a result evil people cannot understand life. This is because scar tissue on the soul believes the lie is the truth and the truth is the lie. This is why evil is divorced from reality.
God's truth says there is sin and evil in life satan's lie says there is no sin or evil.
This is why the criminals and perverts want to eliminate the criminal justice system and the military because they enforce and maintain Divine Establishment freedom. Rom 13:1-9;
You cannot conflate spirituality and morality because while grace and truth define spirituality, the laws of Divine establishment define morality. John 1:17; 1Tim 1:7-10; Rom 7:12;
