2Tim 3:12-13; Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.13 and evil men and demagogues will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Jer 50:6-7; "My people have become lost sheep. Their shepherds have led them astray. They have wandered around in the mountains. They have roamed from one mountain and hill to another. They have forgotten their resting place.

7 All who encountered them devoured them. Their enemies who did this said, 'We are not liable for punishment! For those people have sinned against the Lord, their true pasture. They have sinned against the Lord in whom their ancestors trusted.'

We've noted how evil people and demagogue imposters are working to turn God's client nation into a totalitarian state and they call anyone who opposes them insurrectionists and traitors.

But God is using the wrath of man to praise Him Psa 78:10 because the truth cannot be denied 2Cor 13:10; and working the entire mess together for the benefit of those who love Him. Rom 8:28; those who wait patiently for Him Isa 40:31; to turn what evil people mean for evil into good. Gen 50:20;

Because Jesus came to save what was lost and destroy the works of the devil. Matt 18:11; 1John 3:8c; who deceives the entire world Rev 12:9;

Psa 34:19; Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

2Pet 2:6-14; and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter;
7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men

8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds),
9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble when they revile angelic majesties,
11 whereas angels who are greater in might and power do not bring a reviling judgment against them before the Lord.

12 But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed,
13 suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you,

14 having eyes full of adultery that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children;
15 forsaking the right way, they have gone astray,

2Cor 4:17-18; For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Last time in our study on the judgment seat of Christ we noted that for the mature believers of Smyrna the reward is a decoration called the crown of life. Victory over satan's cosmic system begins at salvation with the initial entry into God's system with the indwelling, filling and teaching ministry of the Spirit.

At that moment in the dispensation of the Church Age every believer receives 40 grace gifts from God, and is entered into the aegis of God and His logistical grace, and starts out n the driver's seat with the filling ministry of God the Holy Spirit inside God's power system. Gal 3:26-29;

The initial point of victory over the cosmic system at the point of salvation is also described in 1John 3:9; that says that at the moment when anyone is born from God (salvation through faith in Christ) he is not sinning, because his seed (God the Holy Spirit) keeps residing in it (God's power system

Furthermore he is not able to sin (when residing inside God's power system. Any decision sin first removes him from God's power system). And the reason he is not able to sin is because he has been born from God so he starts out in God's power system. This is the same power system that Jesus used to maintain perfection during His time in His unglorified human body in the devil's world.

To sin the believer first has to choose to step outside of God's system. Perpetuating residence and function inside of God's power system is simply a matter resisting the temptations that come from the old sin nature that resides in the physical body or after having committed a sin after being removed from God's spiritual system simply use the rebound technique per 1John 1:9; to reenter the system.

God's plan for the Church Age believer is to reside in His power system because it is the only power system He has provided do deal with our weaknesses and inability.

Rev 2:11; The next verb is the aorist passive subjunctive of "adikeo" translated "hurt" that has with it the strongest possible negative that is possible "ou" plus "me" that normally goes with the subjunctive mood; "ou" goes with the indicative mood but is used here in combination with "mh" to form the strongest form for a double negative.

A double negative in the Greek is a stronger negative; this is the opposite of the English where a double negative inverts to a positive. We will translate it, "shall not ever be hurt (injured or damaged)."

The gnomic aorist tense refers to the doctrinal truth of eternal security, that is so absolute and so certain such that it is to be considered to be an axiom.

The passive voice, plus the double negative "ou mh" emphasizes the fact that the believer cannot ever receive the action of the verb of being hurt because of the eternal security that God provides.

The mature believer, under martyrdom, dies under the principle of dying grace. The believer can only experience physical death once. Whether a believer dies under dying grace or under judgment and divine discipline for failure that ends in the sin unto death the irrevocable fact remains believers in Jesus Christ cannot lose their salvation.

It is not possible for any believer in Jesus Christ to lose their eternal salvation. This is stated with the prepositional phrase in terms of the lake of fire "ek" plus the ablative of means from the adjective "deuteros" plus "thanato that means, "shall not ever be hurt, injured or damaged by the second death."

This begs the question of what is the second death? If there is a second death somewhere there is a first death. If there is a first and second death is it possible that there are more deaths and there are.

The Bible reveals that there are seven deaths. Physical death or the first death of the human race is defined as the separation of the soul from the body so that the person no longer lives on planet earth. But this death cannot separate the believer from God Rom 8:38-39;

Physical death is a matter of God's sovereign decision regarding when to take us home to be with Himself, Psalm 68:19,20.

But God can and does prolong physical life on the earth per Psa 102:19,20,23,24; Of course God programmed this extension of time into His divine decree in eternity past.

God also delivers believers from death many times before they die according to Job 5:20; Psa 33:19; Psa 56:13; and Psa 116:8;
