Gal 5:1 Truth is the basis of freedom

Continuing in our study of the mandate to keep on standing firm freedom that is found in Christ Jesus that goes along with the mandate not to be subject again to the yoke of slavery. Gal 5:1;

Last time we saw that truth, the Greek word "Aletheia" and defined in the TDNT as "the reality of God " enables the believer to keep on standing firm in freedom and prevents them from being resubjected to a yoke of slavery.

We saw that TLJC is truth and that grace and truth function together in God's plan for mankind.

Those who reject Grace prefer the darkness because they think they can use it as a cloak for their evil, and they may be able to as long as they are on this planet. John 3:17-21; but in the end no one can hide. 2Cor 5:10; Rev 20:12-15;

Truth cleanses us from sin, John 15:3; John 17:17; Prov 16:6.

God’s righteousness is completely satisfied when He sees His truth operational in man through man's application of his word., Psa 40:10;, Psa 40:11; John 1:14;

Without truth it is impossible to worship God. John 4:23-34; John 16:13-14; 2Tim 2:15;

Ultimately truth always prevails 2Cor 13:8; even though in this time of probation the lie may be permitted to be regarded as truth for a while. Rom 1:17-25; 2Thes 2:8-12;

John 8:42-45; Those who continually live under the control of the OSN hate the truth.

In Phil 4:11-12; Paul speaks of learning truth... Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

The verbs in this passage translated "have learned" (manthano) and know" (oida) refer to the importance of learning truth in order to be properly oriented to life.

Pontius Pilate asked the rhetorical question in John 18:38, "What is truth?" in response to TLJC's statement regarding those who listen to him. John 18:37d;

In John 14:6, the Lord Jesus Christ who was standing before Pilate at the time had already answered the question when he said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."

The "way" refers to the entrance into the plan of God; the Greek noun "hodos" is used to describe the entrance into a systematic course of planning and action.

The "truth" refers to what the believer learns after they enter the plan of God,

and the "life" is the product of the application of that truth as wisdom along the way.

Everyone enters into the plan of God at exactly the same place, which means everyone has the same equal privilege and equal opportunity to glorify God.

All believers are born equal in salvation but inequality is established immediately according to their volition for or against the truth of the words of TLJC and it's communication as we have seen in John 8:31-32;

All believers have some truth but many do not have the accurate truth of the mystery doctrine of the Church-age,

Such an individual is described in Acts 18:24-26; "Now a certain Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with the baptism of John; and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately."
