Celebration of the Lord's Table; The spiritual life of the church was invented on Christmas Heb 12:2;

Today we will observe the Lord's Table or Eucharist where we remember our Lord Jesus Christ in the only remaining ritual for the Church.

The Eternal Word who was God entered the human race in the person of Jesus Christ so that He could fulfill the Father's plan as savior of the world through His substitutionary spiritual death and spiritual victory on the cross.

Our celebration of the Lord's Table recalls our Lord's spiritual victory that was God's strategic victory over satan that was accomplished while He was on the earth in unglorified humanity.

Jesus Christ is the pattern for humility and obedience He became the channel for the fulfillment of God the Father's plan by complying with the grace principle of pivot power where the power of God's word is deployed under the mentorship of God the Holy Spirit through positive volition. Luke 22:42;

In sending Jesus Christ to receive the imputation and judgment for all personal sins and die as our substitute, God demonstrated His love for us Rom 5:8; 1John 4:19; we reciprocate or respond to His love by complying with His mandates. 1John 5:2-3;

Our celebration of the Lord's Table is therefore an expression of our reciprocal love for our Lord who is the strategic victor of time and eternity. We concentrate on him through the elements of the Lord's Table. Luke 22:19-20;

He came to do God the Father's will Heb 10:5-7; He demonstrated that obedience to the Father's unique plan for His life by enduring the suffering and death on the cross Phil 2:8;

He now resides at the right hand of the Father because the Father exalted Him above every created being, such that, every created being will ultimately bow down to him and acknowledge Him as Lord. Phil 2:9-10;

He completely and perfectly fulfilled the directive will of the Father by unilaterally providing a way of salvation for everyone. Rom 5:8; as the "lamb slain from the foundation of the world" Rev 13:8; KJV John 1:29;

While we were God's enemies, God demonstrated his love for us by giving his uniquely born Son "monogenes" who entered the world through the virgin birth. John 3:16;

While we were his enemies He took our sins. He became sin in our place and was He rejected by God the Father so we would never be rejected by God. 2Cor 5:21;

As a result of Jesus' substitutionary spiritual death on the cross God is propitiated so He is free to reconcile mankind from their fallen state of depravity without compromising his perfect righteousness and justice because TLJC willingly laid down his life for us as our substitute. John 15:13; 1John 3:16

This is why believing in TLJC is the only way to a relationship with God John 14:6, salvation Acts 4:12 and eternal life John 3:16;

Anyone can appropriate this Grace gift of salvation which is secured by the Power of God John 10:26-29; simply by believing in TLJC 1Cor 15:3-4 in the same way that Paul and Silas instructed the Philippian Jailer who asked, "what Must I do to be saved?"

Their response recorded In Acts 16:31

Anyone, any time, anywhere can become saved in a moment in time simply by believing in TLJC privately in their thoughts only.

TLJC left his friends, the members of The Royal Family of God, this one and only ritual in the church age The Lord's table which we are mandated to observe in remembrance of Him.

The mandate is found in 1Cor 11:24; in the second person plural present active imperative of the Greek word " poieo" that where Paul references TLJC's own instruction found in Luke 22:19-20;

An expanded translation of 1Cor 11:24 taking into consideration the tense mood and voice of "poieo" would be " Keep on doing this in remembrance of me"

Because these verbs are only imperatives regarding ritual in the New Testament the Lord's Table is one and only ritual of the Church Age and it is a test of our capacity to concentrate on our Lord Jesus Christ through the Bible Doctrine that is resident in our soul as we partake of the elements that represent his work on our behalf.

We have these instructions for partaking of the Lord's table from the Apostle Paul starting in verse 26 of 1Cor 11.

1Cor 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.
31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged.

We understand from this that we are to examine ourselves (imperative mood is a mandate to start doing something and stop doing another privately in our thinking.

In the privacy of our priesthood, and when we find we are outside of the word, we apply the first problem solving device, and simply acknowledge the sin as described in 1 John 1:9;

If/when (third class condition) we acknowledge any known sin he is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. This is the believer's experiential forgiveness during their post salvation life in time.

Having examined ourselves, and acknowledging any known sin we may have discovered, we are then instructed to partake of the elements, the bread and the cup.

The bread which represents his body in which he bore the sins and the judgment for our sins and the sins of the whole world, past present and future.

1Cor 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1Cor 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.

eat the bread

The cup which represents his substitutionary spiritual death on the cross which purchased the freedom from spiritual death and eternal condemnation of everyone who believes in him.

1Cor 11:25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper saying This cup is the new covenant in my Blood do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.

In the Christmas message last week we noted the Eternal Word entering the human race in hypostatic union in the person of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John 1:1,14;

This event that we celebrate at Christmas was the launch of a completely new phase of God's plan whereby God would deploy His omnipotent power into the devil's world through unglorified humanity.

Paul refers to this in 2Cor 4:7; ... we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; Net note 15

The purpose of Paul's ministry was to re-present Jesus Christ for the Church by focusing on His unique spiritual life that was conveyed to the Church at Pentecost so that every Church Age believer could learn it understand it and deploy it.

This is the Mystery that Paul was sent to proclaim. Col 1:25-28; I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God given to me for you in order to complete the word of God,

v26 that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.

v27 God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

v28 We proclaim him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ.

Jesus used this power to overcome all of the opposition that He encountered in the world. John 16:33; and we use this same power to overcome all of the opposition that we encounter. Rom 8:37;

This is why we are to be focused in Jesus Christ and nothing else. Heb 12:2-3;

v2 keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our doctrine. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

v3 Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.

We see from this that Jesus Christ in His unglorified humanity established the precedent for the spiritual life of the Church. The Hypostatic Union of Jesus Christ not only the divides Israel from the Church, but it separates them to the point where they are mutually exclusive.

Using the unique prototype power system given to Him in hypostatic union He completely fulfilled the law and the prophets Luke 24:44; and as a result Jesus completely fulfilled the righteousness of the law for all who believe in Him. Rom 10:4;

This answers the question of after salvation just what comprises the Christian way of life. The precedent established by Jesus Christ in Hypostatic Union cuts off the Old Testament, the Mosaic Law, and the ritual plan of God for Israel and establishes an entirely new precedent.

This means that the protocol plan of God for the church that rescinds and supersedes the ritual plan for Israel is not taken from any of the Old Testament Scriptures, including the Mosaic Law.

This means that God's ritual plan for Israel sets no precedent for the Church Age because all precedence for the Church Age is derived from Jesus Christ's unglorified humanity residing in God's prototype power system under the indwelling and filling ministries of God the Holy Spirit. Heb 9:14;

The Church Age has the thinking of Christ, 1Cor 2:16; The epistles of New Testament canon emphasize the mystery doctrine that pertains to the Church. It is sometimes called the mystery doctrine because neither the angels or the Old Testament prophets knew anything about it. Rom 16:25; 1Cor 2:7; Eph 3:3-4,9; Col 1:20,27; 1Tim 3:9,16; It was God's surprise attack on satan and his world system.

Jesus unglorified humanity used the problem solving devices during the Hypostatic Union and established a precedent for the use of our problem solving devices in the Church Age.

His refusal to allow the outside pressures of adversity to be converted into the inside pressure of stress in the soul than the final three hours on the Cross, when salvation was provided is the greatest illustration in history of the power available in this new power system.

As the One who sets precedence, Jesus Christ is the only role model for the Church Age believer. Making a role model out of Christ means understanding exactly how He remained impeccable under the most severe pressures that anyone has ever been subjected to in all of history.

He overcame all of these pressures in His unglorified humanity using the new prototype power system that was subsequently given to us. Heb 4:15-16; Col 1:27;

We have these same problem solving devices that Jesus used available to us. In fact, we have the two additional problem solving devices of rebound and occupation with Christ that He didn't need.

Since all precedence and authorization for the protocol plan of God for the Church is taken from the power system deployed by Jesus in Hypostatic Union there is nothing in the Mosaic Law related to your spiritual life.

The Mosaic Law sets up principles of establishment that are repeated in the New Testament, but the Mosaic Law is not the way of salvation and is definitely not the Christian way of life.

The most that the Mosaic Law can do is produce is morality. Morality is not the Christian way of life. The virtue of morality is based on human self will and determination.

The virtue of the protocol plan of God is based on God's will and God's power. Which is stronger: your self-determination, or God's power? God's power is so much more powerful that there is no comparison.

This is why when people go to morality for the Christian way of life, they get into the worst arrogance: crusader and self-righteous arrogance. As a result enter into moral degeneracy and become the greatest of blasphemers of God.

Therefore, under the doctrine of verbal plenary inspiration, the New Testament Canon had to be written to explain the relationship between the great power experiment of the Hypostatic Union and the great power experiment of the Church Age.

The two go together. The first is designed for the strategic victory of the one, Jesus Christ; the second for the tactical victory of the many, every believer in the Church Age.

This means that God invented your spiritual life and deployed it in Jesus' unglorified humanity when Jesus was born on Christmas.

Merry Christmas.
