In our study of the doctrine of freedom. John 8:32: Gal 5:1; We have noted that positive volition to any aspect of God's Word of truth creates freedom because God imputes grace through the divine decree to bless positive volition and discipline negative volition. Lam 3:21-23; James 4:6;

We noted that Positive volition to divine establishment provides for temporal human freedom, positive volition toward the Gospel creates spiritual freedom and positive volition to Bible Doctrine creates experiential spiritual freedom and spiritual advance.

Since truth is the sine que non of freedom and since morality and virtue are the visible printout of truth in the soul we took up the doctrines of morality and virtue that we completed last time.

We noted that freedom comes from truth in its various categories. John 8:32; Establishment truth creates freedom in the national entity.

Under the principle of divine establishment every person has free volition so they have the right to be wrong but when their negative volition metastasizes to the point where it violates the freedom, privacy or property of others their free negative volition becomes criminality.

The two enemies of freedom in the national entity are criminality and criminal nations. Both violate divine establishment principles. Within the nation criminality is the internal enemy to freedom. Law enforcement is the part of divinely established government that is designed to apprehend and punish criminals.

The scriptural view of the law is that once a person is convicted of a crime they have no rights under the law until they have served their sentence.

God's Word authorizes punishment of criminality including capital punishment as an effective means of maintaining freedom within the nation. Gen 9:5-6; Matt 26:52; Rom 13:3-4;Exod 21:12; Num 35:30;

This brings us to a study of criminality as an enemy of freedom under the doctrine of criminality.

The criminal is an irresponsible person because all criminality is the product of unrestrained negative volition. Criminals are not criminals because of their environment they are criminals because of their choices.

Criminality is the result of free volition functioning under the trends of the old sin nature. Irresponsibility is a basic characteristic of the criminal.

The criminal is an immature person because criminals never take responsibility for their own decisions in life. Criminals therefore function in childish irresponsibility.

Criminals do not accept responsibility for their choices and do not accept the fact that that they are responsible, answerable, or accountable to any authority in life.

The criminal therefore lives in a state lawlessness because they function in polarized self- fragmentation under the "weak" or antinomian side or pole of the OSN.

Remember the OSN has a "strong" side or pole that tends toward arrogant self-righteous legalism and a "weak" side or pole that tends toward arrogant antinomianism or lawlessness.

People under OSN control of the soul automatically trend toward one of the two poles. Criminality is the result of unrestrained trends toward the lawless pole.

A responsible or lawful person relates to some form of virtue. This can be virtue related to people, virtue related to obligations, virtue related to the work ethic.

Under the laws of divine establishment virtue produces self-esteem and under the protocol plan of God virtue produces spiritual self-esteem.

The unbeliever derives self-respect, respect for others and a lifestyle related to the laws of divine establishment from his own success and achievement in life.

The believer develops respect for truth and occupation with Christ from learning thinking and solving problems with God's Word inside the protocol plan of God.

All criminality is sinful but not all sinfulness is criminality.

A "law-abiding citizen" may in anger, bitterness or vindictiveness violate someone else's privacy or show disrespect for private property but because of authority orientation to the laws of divine establishment it does not become a way of life.

The law-abiding citizen is basically a responsible person. He takes full responsibility for his own decisions and actions because he respects establishment so he avoids infringement on the privacy, property and freedom, and rights of others.

The law-abiding citizen may be irresponsible without violating laws. In such a case, the irresponsible liar, or obligation defaulter, or self-justifier who is irresponsible at work or dishonorable in social life may simply be classified as an unreliable lowlife rather than as a criminal.

The criminal is irresponsible, immature, and refuses to take responsibility for his own decisions and actions.

An Old Testament example of this is Absalom's irresponsibility in his burning of Joab's barley harvest, (2Sam 14:30;) and his undermining of King David's legitimate authority in Israel. 2Sam 15:1-6; that led to his leading a rebellion against David.

Believers who are negative to doctrine fail to execute the protocol plan of God and become losers. Losers will inevitably enter into some form of polarized fragmentation and degeneracy so some Christians will become criminals.

A law-abiding citizen may be irresponsible without being a criminal, but all criminals are irresponsible.

Criminals violate the laws of divine establishment. Criminals have no respect for the freedom of others because in their self-absorption they don't respect the rights of others in a free society.

Criminals totally reject the concepts of freedom, privacy, and the sacredness of life. Criminals are insensitive to others because they are totally preoccupied with self, totally subjective, totally arrogant, therefore, totally irresponsible.

Because of their self-absorption criminals have no sense of obligation to the institutions as marriage, family, or government so their relationships in life are superficial and self-centered, and therefore irresponsible.

We see from this that we have a lot of criminality in our country part of which is operating as a rent a mob and functioning in crusader arrogance under the rhetorical veil of "social justice" and "equality."

It is criminal to use your freedom to prevent others from exercising their freedom. This criminality is being tolerated and even encouraged by evil people in our government and is justified the evil media shills who blame the victim instead of the perpetrators.

The criminal lacks authority orientation. In authority arrogance, the criminal rejects all delegated authority from God, beginning with their parents' authority. 2Tim 3:2-4; Without authority orientation there is no capacity or blessing so the criminal is always unhappy.

The arrogance of rejection of parental authority results in disorientation to authority in life in general. This becomes the basis for self-justification. The frustration of no capacity for life turns young people to criminal activity as an outlet for their arrogance and energy.

The criminal is guilty of arrogant disorientation to legitimate authority, that begins in the home that left unchecked migrates to every facet of life. Prov 29:15-18;

In this country there is increased teenage crime that is a direct result of rejection of the parental authority much of which starts with the national rejection of the principles of marriage and family under the laws of divine establishment.

This rejection of authority extends to the rejection of every other system of authority in life, and that disorientation to authority extends into adulthood and leads to criminal activity. Criminality begins early in life that if left unchecked extends into the teenage years where it can metastasize into a way of life in adulthood.

Because of negative volition to the truth of divine establishment the criminal has a chronic sense of fear and insecurity from self-condemnation.

Their insecurity may result from various fears in life such as the fear of injury, death, fear of not being accepted, ridicule, or being put down or bullied. Emotional revolt of the soul can produce criminal activity.

The criminal has all of these fears and therefore thinks in terms of his fears reducing him to a nothing. Psychology calls this reduction of self-esteem to a state of worthlessness and helplessness the "zero state."
