Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; The doctrine of the winner part 46

Lam 3:21-25; I recall this (doctrine) to my mind, and it gives me confidence. Because The Lord's mercy never fails; His grace provisions never cease, they are renewed every morning; Great is Your faithfulness... Therefore I have hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait silently on Him.

In our study of the doctrine of the winner believer. Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; We have noted that winner believers are the unknown, unsung heroes of history. 2Cor 6:9; who are the targets of God's grace imputations and the reason that God continues to support the human race.

We are now in a segment where we are discussing the doctrine of church age spirituality.

Last time we noted that since the ministry of God the Holy Spirit is required for the believer's spiritual life to function and that believers must understand the difference between the indwelling and the filling ministry of God the Holy Spirit.

We noted that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the permanent function of the Holy Spirit inside the human body that permanently establishes the believer in their new identity as a member of God's new spiritual species.

We also noted that the filling of the Spirit is a function that is related to the volitional choices that are made in the human soul so depending on the choices that are made it can be temporary and at least initially generally is temporary.

The purpose of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is to provide a permanent temple in the believer's body for the indwelling of Jesus Christ as the Shekinah Glory of God. This is taught in 1Cor 3:16; 1Cor 6:19-20; and 2Cor 6:16;

Jesus Christ resides in Church Age believer's bodies as the Shekinah Glory just like he resided the tabernacle in Israel. Exod 40:34;

This indwelling is therefore a guarantee of God's blessing. God the Son could not indwell our sin infused mortal bodies except for the fact that God the Holy Spirit establishes a temple for Him.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit sets the believer apart as holy, it is permanent, and unaffected by the believer's volitional choice to function under OSN control or spiritual control.

God the Holy Spirit always indwells every believer permanently establishing and maintaining their position "in Christ." regardless of the believer's volitional status.

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit irrevocably terminates the uninterrupted rule of the old sin nature and the baptism of the Holy Spirit irrevocably identifies the believer with Jesus Christ and places them into the position that is necessary for them to function under the ministry of God the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:1; 2Cor 5:21; Eph 2:10;

On the other hand the filling ministry of the Spirit is a product of the believer's volition and the choices the believer makes based on the opposing influences of the OSN and the Holy Spirit.

This sets up a continuous running battle between the Holy Spirit and the OSN over the control of the believer's volition. Gal 5:17; Rom 7:14-25;

The filling of the Holy Spirit engages the spiritual power system that God created for the new spiritual species. The spiritual power system is engaged or disengaged based on believer's volitional choices.

When the Holy Spirit controls the believer's soul, the believer is described as being spiritual that means the believer is "filled with" or "by means of" the Spirit.
