Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; The doctrine of the winner part 77

Lam 3:21-25; I recall God's Word of truth to my mind, and it gives me confidence. Because The Lord's mercy never fails; His grace provisions never cease, they are renewed every morning; Great is Your faithfulness... Therefore I have hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait silently on Him.

In our study of the doctrine of the winner believer. Heb 12:2; Rev 2:7; Winner believers are the unknown, unsung heroes of history. 2Cor 6:9; who are the targets of God's grace imputations and the reason that God continues to support the human race.

We have been discussing the doctrine of church age spirituality that is based exclusively on the indwelling and filling ministries of God the Holy Spirit.

Last time we started a new segment on the doctrine of God's problem solving and noted that God solved the problem of mankind's sins when they were judged in the person of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

God's solution is the ultimate and only solution because all problems are caused by someone's sin so resolving sin resolves every problem.

When God resolved sin He removed the barrier between God and man that was created by Adam and Eve's first sin of eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

To do this God became a man, God entered into human history via the person of Jesus Christ with the express purpose of being the solution to the problem because only God becoming a man could resolve it.

There was no other solution for this except God's solution. All sins were imputed to Christ and judged by God the Father. "He who knew no sin was made sin as our substitute."

God removed the barrier of sin between God and mankind. God the Father imputed all sins to Christ and functioned as judge. Our Lord carried our sins in His own body on the Cross 1Pet 2:24;

Mankind participates in the solution God provided for him by simply expressing non- meritorious faith in Jesus Christ. Mankind crosses the barrier by believing in Jesus Christ.

All divine solutions function on the basis of non-meritorious positive volition (faith) because they function on the basis of grace. Eph 2:8-9; Grace is compatible with faith grace is incompatible with works.

We can simply believe in Jesus Christ because under His grace policy God completely provided the and only solution to the problem.

He isolated the problem in eternity past. He resolved the problem in time. God provides the humanity of Christ in hypostatic union as the solution. Mankind is reconciled to God exclusively through faith in Jesus Christ and that is the only way the problem can be solved.

Because God is propitiated or satisfied mankind can be reconciled by simply believing in God's solution. Because all sins committed during the course of human history were judged in Jesus on the cross, sin is not an issue for salvation.

The only issue for salvation is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ because He is God's solution to the problem and there is no other. John 3:16; John 14:6;

After salvation we have many problems because satan's world is filled with sin. God solved every problem that any believer can or ever will experience in eternity past. He isolated every one of the believer's problems and provided for them in eternity past when He isolated every sin ever committed.

God has provided a system that provides a solution for every problem in life. The solutions were provided in eternity past as a part of the portfolio of invisible assets that we receive the moment we believer in Jesus Christ.

God has provided the power options, the spiritual skills, and the ten problem solving devices that are available for you to deploy on the FLOT line of your soul to solve all of your problems. Every problem is solved exclusively on the basis of grace and faith.

All of this is available because God in solving the biggest problem that we had, the problem of our spiritual death on the basis of grace and faith, simultaneously every other problem was also solved.

The only reason problems still exist is because people refuse to accept God's solution to the problem and God's solution is the only solution.

One statement occurs in all three of the original languages of the Bible, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, teaches us how God works. This shows us basis for all problem solving in God's protocol plan for the Christian life.

The statement is "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" This shout of our Lord on the cross was prophesied in the Hebrew language in Psa 22:1;

The repetition of the Greek vocative "ELI, ELI" is addressed to God the Father as a call for help to solve a problem. The repetition of the vocative in the Hebrew means perfection. The singular of "ELI" means this vocative is addressed exclusively to God the Father.

The repetition of the noun in the Hebrew is an idiom of intensity. It expresses the highest quality of the person, God the Father. The highest quality of the two attributes that God the Father used in problem solving are His perfect righteousness and justice that comprise His perfect Holiness.

The perfect righteousness of God cannot accept man with his relative righteousness. Therefore, God solves this problem with both His justice and His love and conveys it through His grace policy.

The problem is caused by the billions of personal sins that mankind has committed. God collected all the personal sins committed during the entire course of human history and placed them all together into one divine decree.

When our Lord Jesus Christ hung on the cross, the omnipotence of God the Father called for all these personal sins, the justice of God imputed all of those sins to the Lord Jesus Christ and the justice of God judged all those sins in Christ on the cross.

This salvation work of God solved the problem of sin once and for all however, as a result of this judgment, Jesus Christ shouted out to God with this question, "My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?"

The answer to Jesus' question is found in Gods Word. Rom 5:8, "God demonstrates His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died as a substitute for us."

Psa 22:3; "Because You are holy." Holiness is a combination of the righteousness and justice of God. The righteousness of God the Father rejects sin. The justice of God the Father therefore did something about that rejection; He judged all those sins in Christ.

1Pet 2:24; "He carried our sins in His own body on the cross."

Psa 22:6; "But I am a worm." The "towla" worm was crushed in large vats and its crimson blood was used to dye the robes worn by kings. By analogy, our Lord Jesus Christ was crushed on the cross that we could wear the robes of kings forever. Rev 1:5-6;

Now that this greatest problem was solved by the work of salvation, the door of salvation is open wide to anyone who will simply walk through it by personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Matt 27:46; states our Lord's question in the other two languages of the Bible, the Aramaic and the Greek. "And about the ninth hour (3 p.m. Roman time), Jesus shouted with a loud voice, saying, `Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?', which means, `My God, my God, why have you forsaken Me?'"

The Aramaic is a Semitic language that is very similar to the Hebrew and Phoenician languages since it is merely a different dialect.

Aramaic originated in Aram in Mesopotamia, and spread to the northwest. The eastern form of this dialect is called Syrian and the western form is called Aramaic or Chaldean.

In Matt 27:46; the Greek letters are used to produce this Aramaic phrase that our Lord shouted out on the cross. This Aramaic phrase is then translated into the Greek in the last half of the verse.

The Greek verb "egkataleipo" that is translated forsaken not only means to forsake and abandon, but it is even stronger, it means to completely depart from or retreat from because they are too repulsive to look at.

While He was being judged for our sins on the cross Jesus became sin so He was too repulsive for God to look at because He had become sin as our substitute. 2Cor 5:21; Rom 8:3; Hab 1:13;KJV NIV

The culminative aorist tense of the verb "egkataleipo" views the action of the verb in its entirety. It views Jesus Christ being judged for our sins and it simultaneously views Jesus Christ being forsaken by God the Father with whom He had eternal and infinite love with emphasis on the result that "whosoever believes in Him shall never perish but have eternal life." John 3:16;

God solved mankind's greatest problem, the problem of spiritual death by imputing the sins of the world to Jesus Christ and judging them with the result that Jesus was forsaken.

We could not solve the problem because we were completely and totally helpless in our status of spiritual death but God could and He did on the basis of His integrity love that is expressed by His grace. We accept His solution by faith.

The answer to our Lord's question of "why have you forsaken me" is that God was at that moment solving the greatest problem of humanity along with every other problem by the using of His justice, motivated by His unconditional integrity love for us that was deployed on the basis of grace and the benefit received on the basis of faith.

Paul describes the scope of God's solving the problem of our separation from Him by grace and faith in Rom 8:31-32; "If God is for us, who can be against us? For He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us the all things?"

We see from this that God's entire system of problem solving functions on the basis of grace and faith. All benefits that accrue from grace are conveyed on the basis of faith. This is why it is impossible to please God without faith. Heb 11:6;

What is faith? Faith is defined in Heb 11:1; Faith is the invisible spiritual substructure upon which all of the unseen things that we have confidence in are proven.

Doctrine (Faith) is the invisible reality that makes the visible reality possible. Doctrine (Faith) is the basis of God's problem solving because God does all the work in problem solving. God did all the work in solving our problem of spiritual death and that simultaneously resulted in the solution to every our other problem.

God the Father imputed and judged our sins in Christ on the cross. God the Son received that imputation and judgment. So great was the agony of it all that He screamed these words.

God the Holy Spirit sustained our Lord on the cross, and now He reveals this Gospel information to mankind under His ministries of common and efficacious grace. This is called salvation grace. In grace, there is no place for human merit or ability of any kind because grace is not compatible with works.

Eph 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved (in the past with the result that you stand saved forever) by means of faith, not from yourselves; it is a gift from God, not of works, lest any man should boast."
